daguy55667,
1.99 for endless fun!
So let me break this game down for those of you willing to give it a try. To unlock the full game it costs $1.99 or you have to wait 4 hours on occasion for a new season. This game has no adds and is totally simulated as you build your position. At the start you pick your nationality, position, choose your name, and your top three stats. I would recommend stats the boost your position/ stats you can’t upgrade after a game. That will make more sense when you play. So basically this game isn’t 4 years of college then pro it’s more divided into levels as you build. You can be 35 and still play for college, also there is no pro draft. Your career stats constantly carry over. So there is the NFL, 1-A, 1-AA, Divison 2, and Divison 3. You will start at 5* and try to build your way up to 100*. You will also start in Divison 3 and work your way to the pros. The goal is to build your stats as you go with money you can make. So you can buy houses, business, and build your contract for money. Money is what you use to upgrade your stats.

All in all it’s fun I just wish there was more consistently to your game stats one game you will put out some insane stats then next game be an average player. You will spend hours on this once addicted enjoy.

I would also give this like a 4.7/5 but I rounded up.
-8oom-,
Awesome game
This is not a game I was expecting Roger addicted to. I thought that it was another ad filled game that will only be pay to win or something like that. But no, as soon as I got the hang of everything, I started playing and playing until I realized I played for 6 hours straight! I love the way everything is set up, the only thing that I would want to have is a little more influence on how good I do in the game instead of just hoping I have a good game. Maybe have like a “Film session” or something and am able to come up with a strategy for every game. For example, if I go to the “Film session” as a half back and it tells me that the recommended strategy is to use more speed instead of power, then right before the game I can use a slider or something of that nature to figure out how much speed, power, patience, and determination to use out of 100%. But other than that, I love the game and I will play for another 6 hours at a time!

MONEY GRAB! Must Pay to win.
I have no problem with spending the 1.99 to unlock the game. But the fact that the only way to make it to the nfl in this game is to pay .99cents to reset your age is ridiculous. If you play as the game is designed you’ll be 34-35 and just barely making it in Division 1. Here is the catch, the game allows you to spend .99 cents to reset your age to 18 and keep your abilities. Which doing that would be the ONLY way you can make it to the NFL before you retire. Anyone in the NFL has clearly paid to reset their age multiple times.
Game could be fun if it wasn’t just a straight money grab. Would not recommend and unless you’re willing to pay, don’t waste your time. Your abilities do nothing to help your team win. I’m a big stats guy and it would be cool to see your stats team by team throughout your career. In order to see how your player has gotten better and how that may effect your stats over time. Would be cool to maybe have some records to strive to break too. There is none of that in this game, all your stats are compiled for your entire career, making the stats essentially useless. I think this is done internationally because like I stated, your abilities are essentially faked. They are just numbers and do nothing to increase your performance. I know people who have paid to reset their age and have 95+ QBs and they have still never made the playoffs.
DetroitNation,
4 hour wait and Age
Okay so after a certain point it takes 4 hours to start a new season unless you want to spend $2 and i get that and would be more then willing to spend $2 however if you want your player to actually even go pro you will need to buy the thing that turns them back to 18 with their current skills in order for them to go pro for more then a season. Also it’s been a day now and every time I got to advance season my 4 hours resets thus not allowing me to start a new season. Again if you fix the 2nd problem then just make it to where after 5th season you got to pay the 2 dollars then fine I get that but to charge $2 on a game where in order for your player to ever even go pro each career you have to pay even more money that is just dumb and will be the reason this game dies sooner then later unless the developers find a way to fix this because it takes way to long to progress your player. HOW TO FIX: it is simple really make people watch ads if they don’t pay for full version. Rather then waiting 4 hrs make them watch an ad. Rather then making it impossible to start good make it to where they can watch an ad and each ad they watch they start a stat higher and set max to like 40 stars. This allows you to make even more money off of ad revenue
JSLC1197,
Solid game!
Very intuitive idea for an iPhone game. You don’t normally see these type of games as in depth as this one. Some critiques that I believe can improve the game and its immersive quality. Please include career statistics, categorize the upgrade menu into subcategories, and more opportunity to earn money. The basic version only lets you play one season every 4 hours and starting out, you hardly get any money. The price of upgrades begin to outweigh your earning price, making it extremely difficult to go up in divisions. The category menu has a lot of skills to be upgraded and OCD wants me to upgrade everything. Even though it’s not part of my positional skill, I end up upgrading it just to get rid of the notification. Also categorizing it can make it neater and we wouldn’t have to scroll up and down as much looking at a mess. Career statistics is a must in these type of games. How can you be a true superstar, if you can’t look back at your previous statistics and see the growth?
CmmrGhost,
Pretty good so far
After a few hours of playing, it’s very similar to other free games that have waaayyyy too much grind, so players feel inclined to pay. It’s basically a “pay-to-win.” Disappointed, really. I’d rather pay $2 for a good, full game than a $2 IAP that doesn’t offer everything.

Is it possible to become an NFL star without paying money? Yes, but the grind is EXTREMELY difficult. Not only would you have to wait 4 hours between seasons, but money is difficult to maintain. It should NOT be so difficult to maintain money. And by that, I mean you get get decent offers, but once you get deals that offer good money, upgrading your player costs way too much. It’s in a way in which the dev’s make players want to purchase in-game currency.

The game has great potential, honestly. Again, I’d rather pay $2-3 for this game to be entirely fair and playable and not feel like such a grind, than have it be free and offer IAP to make there be no grind. Really disappointed that devs continue this. I’m pretty sure many players would pay a few bucks for a good mobile game than for IAP that feels necessary due to the game’s grind.
DabDaily,
Fun game, recommended
Isn’t showing my players name during the games and I can’t see any stats of any kind, but I win the MVP a lot so who cares 🤷🏻‍♂️

Edit: Don’t play as FB the stats are broke. Other than that amazing game. Finished the whole career as a HB to retirement and had a blast. Playing QB now. Rarely do I ever spend money on a phone game, but I did buy this ones couple bucks deal for no wait inbetween seasons, which is fairly priced. Someone who doesn’t like the game wouldn’t keep it long enough to hit the “pay wall”, so true players will find that this deal is great value.

Second Edit: Played several seasons as a QB and it was really fun other than not being able to control much about the team or being able to sway a victory in any way, just seems like a RNG on whether or not your team succeeds. Currently doing a WR build, going very well. Probably will go pro.
bucknastyy11,
Football, but weird
I thought it was strange that it took my player until their Age 39 season to finally make it out of college and into the NFL. I thought it was a little strange that I had to pay a dollar to put that players “mind” in an 18yo body so that I could continue with my progress.

But what doesn’t make any sense to me is that NONE of the teams ever get any better or worse, no matter how good your player is. Maybe never making the playoffs in the >70 “years” I’ve played through is the type of realism a Lions fan might be looking for in a Football Sim, but I’d prefer if my home team led by my 99 overall MLB actually showed some sort of improvement or reflected the work I put in to get to that point. Instead, it’s season after season after season of “You missed the playoffs! Try again next year!” Except there is no TRY, there is only the same scores over and over again. I’ve put several dollars into this game but it has not gotten more interesting, it’s gotten more boring.
Yannykai,
Lazy Boy, you’ve done it again
I saw this game in my recommended games and thought, “Oh, I don’t know a lot about football, it must just be Apple recommending it to me because I like sports games… Eh, I’ll give it a shot.” When I downloaded the game and saw the Lazy Boy Developments logo, I hadn’t realized Lazy Boy were the people who made this game, and considering I love Boxing Superstar, I got excited, and I had all the right in the world to be. It looks like a lot to take in at the start, but feels like just the right amount to keep things interesting. Only complaint is that whenever the game gets opened, it stops my music, so I have to go back and start playing it again and then go back into the game. It’s only a very slight annoyance in a sea of greatness though.
Heuxbeixbd,
Ok game with much room for improvement
The progression in this game is REAAAAALLLLLY SLOOOOOWWWWW. So slow that you will be middle-aged before you make it out of college. The other issue is the teams stagnate. The Saints and Chiefs play in the Super Bowl almost every year, and the Saints pretty much always win. The standings finish almost identical to every year before it. And then your player will get suspended for literally no reason at all, and you’ll miss time and get paid less the next season do to the decrease in output (seems like kind of a sneaky practice considering you can buy in-game money through micro transactions, and this also ties into the slow progression because you have to pay in game money to improve a stat, not just practice it)

Outside of these flaws, and the lack of any real gameplay, the game can be pretty addicting once your player gets their groove and starts actually performing well. But don’t expect that to be consistent, because a 99 rated QB will still manage MAYBE 200 yards a game.
