BabyLund,
Great classic game, but needs higher difficulty level
I've always loved connect four since I was a kid. It's a great strategy-type game. This app is great for anyone who likes connect four. As far as I'm concerned, it's set up great and I've had no issues with the game itself. However, the hard mode on this app is still fairly easy to beat, whether you're first or second player. I think the developers should've created a "hardest" mode, or something along those lines, because I can still win at least 85% of the time, whether I'm first or second player. Other than that, it's a good app and fun to play when I'm bored and nobody's playing online.
Bass-Dood,
badly needs an update
I enjoy playing it.
However, it has no ability to track scores. After each game, it says “current scores: 6; total scores 80.” Which makes absolutely no sense, and it says the exact same thing pretty much every time (the numbers don’t change). Also, the option to turn off sound does not work. And, you have to re-input your preferred settings every time you launch the game.
It appears that it has not been updated in 4 years or so. Amazing that it still works on the current iOS. The other reviews I am seeing here are from 8 years ago; perhaps it worked better back then. Bizarrely, the description from the makers says it is a chess game. I wonder if it has been abandoned. My guess is that it was made by someone with very limited English capability.
It would be nice to see an upgrade.
Photographer273,
Awesome App!
I downloaded this app since I hadn't played Connect Four in a long time. It is challenging enough to be fun for a long time, yet easy enough that you can occasionally beat it. It also has a two player mode, so you can compete with another player. It would be cool if you could put in your own usernames, but it doesn't look like you can.

This app's UI is well done, and the sound effects are some of the best I've heard on an app of this kind. I didn't really care for the theme music, but you can easily turn it off under the options tab.

All in all, this is an awesome app that I would definitely recommend!

Pretty Good
Simple fun game. Easy to beat the computer on the lowest difficulty level; not so easy at the highest difficulty level. Research has shown that the player who goes first will always win at optimal play. See if you can beat the computer when it goes first at highest difficulty level. The reviewer that said he wins every time was playing at the easiest level - probably didn't know there were more challenging levels.

Two minor complaints: 1) The "welcome back" message blocks access to the menu button and you have to wait a second to start a new game - irritating and unnecessary; and 2) The stats are somewhat confusing.

Not Very Difficult & a Little Buggy
When the user ties with the computer, the game crashes no matter which difficulty level is selected. This however doesn't occur when the computer ties with the user.

This game provides great entertainment for passing the time but unfortunately the most difficult level is actually quite predictable. No matter who's turn it is there are at least three scenarios that always guarantee a win. With that, the only ways to get a real challenge out of connect 4 is to play an online version, or with a real person.

Note to developer: If I could have contacted you directly, I would have sent you this information personally without going public.

Challenge Game Center Players
Please add back feature to challenge Game Center players or other way to play larger community of players. In past, able to play others at least synchronously online. Nice if added back this feature, even if others not always available. By playing others in larger community, found some really skilled players.
Now seems only can play a person right there with you.
jillqberry,
The best.
I'm 32 years old, but have loved Connect 4 since I was a kid. I'm obsessed with this game. I can play against the computer anytime and anywhere! I figured this game would probably be a piece of cake. Boy, was I surprised! The hard level beats me about 50% of the time!! Is there a way to play other users vs. just giving them a "challenge"??

Great App
Happy to see an app for this classic game. Perfect.
Happy New Year everyone! Do you want to start the new year off right? By repenting of sin, and asking Jesus to save you from Hell, you can become a NEW creature in Christ. God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. By faith, we can accept His shed blood for payment for our sins. God promises us a home in Heaven for ALL who do this. Thank-You.
Dregina2,
I love the Game.
I love the game, however what aggravated me about it is when I tie it completely shuts off and doesn't count that I tied. Once in a while it will count it, but do far every time I tie it shuts me off. Besides my frustration level there, which trust me is very high, I ABSOLUTELY AM ADDICTED. My best friend got my hooked a couple months ago. In glad he did!
Meetze68,
Fun
I had never played Connect 4. It seemed like it would be a simple little game that I could pass the time with. Wow, was I surprised. It is simple. But it is not easy! It makes me feel so stupid. Just when I think I have it beat, it sneaks one in on me and I've lost again. So, I just keep on trying. It's addicting.
