Just what I was looking for!
I have wanted to learn to play the guitar since I was a kid. I was not one of those who are gifted and can just simply pick up the instrument and go. I have tried many things over the years such as instruction manuals, internet sites, etc. I have always come away frustrated. Over the years I was either too broke or too busy to take lessons. Now I’m in my fifties and I still have the desire to learn. When I came across Fret Zealot I was intrigued. I decided to give it a try and I have been totally satisfied. Learning the guitar is hard work, but this program takes you from total novice through advanced playing. The instructional videos are simple and the LED system resolved the issue I have had with finding my finger placements. It’s made so many things easy and allows me to focus on muscle memory, reading chords, strumming, timing, etc… I love this product! It was easy to put on the guitar and it syncs perfectly to my IPhone each time.

Great tool for beginner guitarist
I could not be happier about purchasing and using the Fret Zealot. I started learning and playing guitar about 2 years ago and the Fret Zealot has helped me out immensely. Learning chords,scales and songs is made very easy in my opinion. With a great library of instructional videos and songs that are available and the ability to learn and digest them at my chosen pace is awesome. Lastly their customer support is second to none. The couple of questions I’ve had since purchasing my Fret Zealot have been answered within 15 minutes of me sending an email to support and getting back the answers I needed.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again if I had to, thanks for a great product Fret Zealot!

So close
I love the concept but there are a few problems.
They must and I repeat must better fit the fretboard better. This is a real problem...I had to raise the action to get it to play right. Because it doesn’t fit right...and the strips being made of rubber bending the strings as you go up the fretboard makes a difference in playability. The connection from the fretboard to the unit is a crucial connection and it is way to fragile...my connection severed when it got caught on a mic stand...it was a day old! They charged me $53 to replace the led strip!
The app is too basic. I like the scales but the songs? Seriously? Every track has 5 or 6 guitar parts and they don’t all play at once. Not only that but if you are trying to learn a song you have to cycle through all the parts and try to figure out how they fit together to try to make a single track from end to end.
Did you guys look at successful tab apps (tab pro) before making yours?
I understand the complexity involved (I made the same thing for my keyboard...but you probably went with a binary protocol making conversions from midi or tabs a freakin nightmare.
Cmon guys get it together. You spent a lot of time on the hardware charging us $200 to recoup costs...but you have compromised the usability by cutting corners!
You can still recover, but if you want to cater to serious players you need to make a pro level product.

Great customer support
I have had my Fretzealot for about a year now. A few months ago, my led strip had a part of it die. I emailed the support and got a response the next day. Shaun had me do some troubleshooting, like making sure everything was plugged in properly. After the troubleshooting was complete, the section of leds still did not light up.
Shaun pulled up my previous order and let me know that my warranty was not expired. Shaun got the right sized led strip sent off to me. After a few months, Shaun sent me a follow up message to see how everything was working.
This is amazing customer support. I have never had this level of support on any product before.

A great tool and resource for all levels of guitar playing!
I purchased the Fret Zealot around March of this year (2020) and 6 months later it has become the best investment in my journey to learning nearly every aspect of guitar playing. The courses that come with it are great, but I decided to purchase a subscription to all the courses and have never looked back! If you truly want to learn all aspects of the guitar at your own pace with some of the best instructors in the online business, you NEED to try Fret Zealot! Game changer for learning guitar
I've been playing guitar for a few years and learning scales has been most annoying because of having to constantly look away from the neck to learn the shapes and notes. The same is true for learning tabs for songs, solos, etc... The Fret Zealot allows you to focus on the neck at all times and makes it easy to ensure you are always hitting the right notes. It's an amazing technology that will definitely help new players and skilled players alike. In addition, the LED lights look really cool 😎. It has definitely helped my playing and speed in jamming to different keys. I highly recommend.

Love having the visual element!
I am a beginner at guitar and have only learned a few chords and songs through the years. I find that it is very easy to lose focus and put down the guitar. Since getting my Fret Zealot, I have love seeing the frets light up when I’m supposed to play them and it helps me engrain each chord into my muscle memory. As a visual learner, this has been an invaluable tool for me, not to mention the app, which is fun and user-friendly. I’ve been enjoying the song library and can’t wait to see some new additions! Amazing program
So I started using the program about a week ago. Unfortunately I had some led problems which the great group over there not only helped me out but went above and beyond to make sure I was good. As someone who use to play bass in their teens I was able to pick up and play along with the lessons without the strip. It just arrived today in the mail and is working great. Can’t wait to really dive into it.

So in my case I’m a solider so I’m saving money but I TRIED IT MULTIPLE TIMES FROK A FRIEND. and I’m just tellin you shortly this is the best ever tool I have seen!! It so good for learning scales and notes and chords on the guitar quickly! U can also turn it to a light show while performing with the guitar ;) and play a lot of songs built in with this app! Offers SO much more than you think
There is a huge library of songs in the app, I was super impressed. On top of this I was able to drill all kinds of different scales and improve my improvisation skills.
All of this can be done with the app alone or with the led hardware, which was surprisingly helpful for navigating even as a more advanced player.
This app deserves the attention of any player looking to up their guitar game.
