Hi friends! Many of you have told us you aren’t ALWAYS in the mood for rating, sometimes a movie just isn’t worth spending time debating whether it is a 6 or 7. We’ve also heard that sometimes a recommendation just isn’t for you, and you’ll never spend time on it. So in this version we’re launching two new options - “done” and “nope”. Mark something as “done” in one-instant click, or dismiss an item and never see it again by clicking “nope”. ENJOY!

This version has filters on lists added - it’s nice to see IMDb’s top 250 films, but now instead of scrolling through all 250, with one click you can see which of those are in your favorite genres, streaming platforms or ones you haven’t watched yet. We’ve also added a super cool tool that when you find a bug, lets you take a screenshot and with 1 click send it to us - we hope it’ll be way easier to catch those nasty little bugs that creep their way in. An app that’s genuine and saves your time!
It's different from other apps in that you get to see reviews on multiple categories: movies, tv shows, podcasts, books, and food and drinks. And you can also invite friends! I like that you can filter movies and tv shows by either streaming service or genre. This makes it a lot easier when you need to decide what to watch.
I also like that it has lists like "trending movies," "all-time greatest movies," and "recommended by critics." And you really feel a genuine connection as you read the reviews. Overall, a wonderful app that makes you feel like you're looking at fun suggestions from friends.

My friends know what I like!
My favorite part of an evening with friends is when the conversation drifts to talking about favorite movies, shows, books, or restaurants. Who better to turn me on to new things than the people I know best, and who know me best? That’s why they’re my friends, right?
I generally avoid social media because it’s so impersonal. There’s an illusion of closeness that just doesn’t do it for me. I was thrilled to discover this app because it takes a specific aspect of my personal network and amplifies it by providing recommendations I know I can trust (I’m looking at you, Yelp), right here in my pocket.
And Friendspire does this well. I especially like the bookmarking feature. I was always having a hard time keeping track of random notes about shows to see or places to go, but Friendspire lets me keep a list right alongside my recommendations.
Minor nit: when inviting friends vial email, the subject header should populate with something more enticing than “view profile”... am I revealing my age that I still use email to invite people?

Great app to communicate via reviews.
I recently started using Friendspire, and since then almost all of my movie, food etc choices have been based on it. You might be saying, isn’t it basically yelp. Here is what i have to say about that. The purpose is similar, but via Frienspire you can get a more personalized feeling. Also, instead of just restaurants, there are reviews on movies, shows, books, podcasts, bars and yes, restaurants. Another thing I enjoy is that the creators are actually active in the app. The make there own reviews and comment on yours with their own feelings. Last but no least, Friendspire has curated lists you can look at made by anyone, even celebrities.

Best App to share Movies/Shows with friends!
I’ve been trying to find one App that allows to create lists of movies/shows you’ve seen, but also see what your friends and other people are seeing and reviewing. IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes don’t let you do that, but Friendspire does! Plus it tells you where to watch based on your country, and many more things. While it still has some room for improvement in UX and it does get glitchy often, it works very well for it’s purpose. Thank you!!

I’ve been using Friendspire for the past many months and love everything about it! The concept of relying on reviews from your friends really resonates with me and I’m enjoying finding people to follow who share my taste in movies, books or restaurants!

Got me out of my boring routine
I downloaded this app because I have more choices than ever before in what to watch, eat, and do but was still going to the same restaurants and watching the same reruns. I use it a lot for finding good suggestions from my friends and then keeping a running list of bookmarks I can return back to when I need it. It saves me time, but more importantly it gets me out of my routine and makes life more colorful :)

Legit Reviews...FINALLY
All existing review based apps suffer from the same problem, the source is dubious at best. This app solves this problem by sourcing reviews from a list of people you can curate yourself. If any other apps do this, and I’m not aware of it then they’re doing a poor job. Also, having anything that can be reviewed all in one app makes the user experience so much better. Kudos. Friendspire is where it’s at.

I love this App
This app has saved me so much time from endless Netflix/iTunes scrolling. Thanks to the Friendspire’s recommendations I’ve been delighted to come across amazing books, series and movies that otherwise I’d never think of reading or watching on my own. I actually love reading my friend’s reviews and sharing with them my own take as well. This is a must quarantine app and I highly recommend it.

This app has made picking out movie nights and finding a good podcast to listen to a breeze. The amount of recommendations isn’t overwhelming, and you are able to see what your close friends are watching/reading/listening! The interface is super easy to use and overall just a great app.
