I was looking for fun things to do around me. I was hoping/expecting to see things I've never considered. All it lists around me is laundromats, gas stations, grocery stores... pretty much any store.

Cool idea, needs some more work
So it's obviously a work in progress still, maybe even in beta or just out of beta. Just need to establish that as a context to appreciate it in. My suggestions for improvement are: don't force the user to select a home city from a limited list. Use their location. Also, make sure that the user is returned to the place on the map he was viewing when he went out of map view and back. Keep up the good work. It'll be great when finished.
