To all our loyal tournament operators, this one goes out to you! In version v4.8.0 we introduce the ability to remotely update lineups after a game has been loaded to the iPad app. So go ahead, load the whole day's games to the iPad and rest easy knowing the rosters will always be up-to-date.

Here's what's in store with the latest update:

1. Seamlessly Updated Rosters:
GameSheet now automatically checks for updated rosters whenever your iPad is connected. Embrace peace of mind as you load the entire day's games, knowing that the lineups will always remain up-to-date.

2. Preview and Decide:
We value your decision-making process. That's why we've introduced a preview feature that enables coaches to review roster updates before making the final call. Take charge of your team's lineup and make informed choices.

3. Stay Informed:
We believe in keeping you informed every step of the way which is why we've added a "Last Update" time to the Lineup page so you know exactly when the roster was last updated. Stay connected to the most recent changes and stay ahead of the game.

Four quarters, three periods, two halves ... This release adds support for games with more than 3 periods and improves the experience for games with less than 3 periods.

What's Changed
• Games can be scored with up to four regulation periods and four overtime periods.
• Overtime periods can be added to games with fewer than 3 regulation periods.
• New shot input controls with larger buttons.

This release provides bug fixes and stability improvements.

This release is all about refining our new live game clock.

What's New
• Clock control pre-populates when paused to reduce taps.
• When adding a penalty or goal, the clock is now set automatically if the game clock is paused.

This release introduces an optional live game clock for next-level live scoring. Enable the live game clock from the gear menu on the Scoring screen and let fans at home watch the seconds tick down in real time with the scoreboard.

This update focuses on enhancing your experience by streamlining workflows, adding polish and addressing bugs. You should notice some subtle design tweaks and interface improvements and although there are no major feature additions, this update brings a smoother and more refined experience.

What's Changed
• Coaches that are serving a suspension now appear as suspended in the app until their status is updated.
• The ability to remove a player or coach from a team's roster has been removed. This action must now be done via the GameSheet Dashboard website.
• We've improved the consistency of styling to help you distinguish what you can edit and what you can't.
• Home and Visitor lineup tabs have been given fresh, new, hockey-themed icons.
• A helpful warning message has been added to help you avoid creating a game from scratch when there is a matching game in the schedule.
• We've simplified the live scoring process by making it the default all the time.
• We've made it far more intuitive to set the start time by making it a part of the Scoring tab.
• We fixed an issue that prevented long season names from displaying in the Season filter on the Load Scheduled Game screen.

Improved reliability of live scoring when network conditions are inconsistent and/or poor.

This release improves the reliability and stability of the app under less-than-ideal network conditions.

New Functionality
• Added a warning message to let coaches adding players know if their roster has been locked.
• Removed the ability to change player and coach names in the Scoring app. Player and coach names may still be changed via the Dashboard website.

What We Fixed
• Fixed an issue that could cause users to see the error, "Live Scoring is Disabled for the Season" when attempting to live score without an internet connection.
• Numerous small network connection-related issues that could cause error messages to appear while live scoring or uploading games under poor network conditions.

This release is all about smashing bugs to make your GameSheet experience smoother than T.J. Oshie in a shootout.

What We Fixed:
• Added additional safeguards to prevent users from receiving the "Game Requires Processing" error
• Changed the default game upload error message to be more helpful
• Fixed an issue that could cause live scoring to temporarily stop sending events in long running games
• The goal assist pop-over now correctly shows the current value when opening to edit
• The "Visitor" column heading is no longer cut off on the Uploaded Games page

Feature Updates
• Repositioned shot (+) (-) buttons farther from the screen edges to make them easier to tap.
• Removed the restriction preventing games from being created in the past.
• Added a new pop up to set the game end time when ending a game from the Scoring page.
• Expanded the penalty code column to show longer penalty codes without resorting to (...)

Bug Fixes
• Fixed bug that would exclude penalties with durations that were not integers from being included in the Fair Play Points totals on the Officials/Post non-integer penalty lengths on the Fair Play section.
• Fixed bug that would enable the switch to send a PDF copy to an official even when no email address was input.
