At the time of this review the community/development-team relationship is extraordinary. Not something that can be said about many games.
Hero development is unique. Heroes owned by different people or even duplicate heroes will never develop in exactly the same way. The use of artifacts with sub-stats precludes exact duplication. Added to that is the Arena cabinet which allows for individual tweaking of most stats for each color.
New heroes are introduced regularly and even the most easily obtained heroes can become forces at the highest levels. Opportunities to get the highest quality heroes are provided fairly easily. As a free to play player I have been very happy with my ability to contribute at a mid to high level for my top 50 Guild.
The AI actually shows some I!
Overall this young game will become even better as it introduces more interactive PvP and brings Guild wars into play. As it is the game has outstanding hero improvement opportunities, a very responsive development team, and bright future if they continue treating their players with the same respect they’ve shown over the 6+ months I’ve been enjoying their product.

Could have potential but...
Game play and mechanics same as Raid Shadow Legends. Some minor nuanced differences but in essence has same trappings and short comings. Your success in game will be dependent on your luck to use scrolls to get the top heroes or spend lots of money, and even then hope for the luck of the draw. For now, the game is in its early stages and this will not preclude you from content. That will not be the case in 12-18 months down the road if they follow the RSL path. Should make Heroes more attainable to all through the endless grinding process, yeah that too, and there is always enticing people to spend money on gear. Never understood why games would charge $$ for energy required to play their game as the baseline amount provided last a few minutes and then requires recharging. Which brings us to time play requirements... this type of game requires a portal interface as hours a day are required to grind and needs to be done in background and not use phone resources. Perfect game if you frequent casinos and thrilled with the pull and exasperated with the result!

Solid foundation, please keep growing
Fun game with your match 3 style of gameplay. This game however has positioned itself well to grow by using an intricate artifact system to help customize the cookie cutter hero types in all of this style of game. I warn the developers to make sure it doesn’t fall into the heavy side of pay to win, you need to get the casual fan and your choices over the next 6 months will make or break you.
That being said, I give it 5 stars for the great foundation you have laid, keep innovating and do everything you can to grab that casual gamer, they are what drives the market and thus control how successful your game is. You could easily go for a quick cash grab, or you could build something sustainable, your choice.

Heavy strategizing, less luck in battles: you and enemies use the same board and all tiles do damage.
Lots of chances for high rarity summons, and diamonds are easier to come by. In e&p titans and other things only drop 1-10 diamonds every two hours. Guild bosses drop 75! And with it only costing 400 for a 3-pull…
The bad: ads are not worth it. In e&p they can drop high-rarity loot. In this game all they drop is gold and energy.
Events are pay-to-win. It is extremely difficult to reach the required point totals as a f2p. In e&p, if you’ve got the heroes you are probably going to beat the event.

This game could and should be great. Only issue is the rates for everything become criminally bad. Getting an artifact to lvl 15 is only 5%. The rates for just campaign drops to get a 3 star which is nothing is one about every 50+ tries spamming the same boss of that territory. Other games at least are generous with their campaign drop rates. This game. No way. And dont let me mention how hard it is to get a plat scroll which is the highest scroll to roll characters and you still only have a 8% chance of getting a legendary. And below that is gold scrolls which you only have a 8% getting a four star. The rates in this game even for basic stuff is criminally low and for that reason i am getting far away until a change is made.

The endless pop-ups for the zillion different packs is super annoying. The interface is a little sketchy. There is a lot of rng dependence. There are way too many moving parts… meaning complexity for complexity sake. A couple days in and the “events” feel a bit spendy. These issues are not as bad as I’ve seen in some games, but they are there, and that’s where I deduct another star.
If you can be patient and relax, it’s a very enjoyable game, though! Especially for the type of person who doesn’t mind a little spending here and there. I think FTP would be rough unless you are super relaxed about it.

I complained a few weeks ago about the one weird hunched over Asian character, and, just in time for the Chinese New Year you all give us a cool set of Asian heroes. Heck, you’ve out done E&P here.
BTW, I have been sucked into the fun game play you’ve set up. Found a great guild too. Only complaint would be the mismatch in guilds in the wars, but my previous guild was apathetic and my new guild held their own and lost respectively in the last round.
The strategic thinking needed to get through the war makes it very interactive and interesting as guild players need to cooperate at a high level. Even though I don’t know these people personally, I feel a kinship with my other guild members, especially the leaders who are doing a great job of helping us newbies get up to speed with our cast of heroes.
Thanks for a fun game! Hope more people find their way over here. I’ll be pinging my real life friends to check it out now.

Obscene cash grab getting worse every day
This game has always had a very visible p2w aspect, but that goes with the territory. Despite this, it always had a reasonable offering for free players and a responsive and engaged dev team. When Stribog got acquired by Gamedesire though, things changed rapidly. The game is now an extreme cash grab catering to whales at the expense of everyone else. If you aren’t paying in $50/month or more you will not be even slightly competitive. Each event is designed to dangle rewards that you absolutely will not receive without your credit card. There are enough whales to keep the devs happy with this arrangement, and if you aren’t one of them your experience will suffer. Strongly recommend that you never get involved with this game or it’s insanely greedy publisher.

When you start out the game feels good. You can make progress and level consistently.
When mid game rolls around the game feels a bit RNG heavy, but over all it’s not bad.
But late game, the stage of the game you will spend 90-95% of your time in…it’s in complete shambles.
You have to keep the game running on auto battle for an average of 20 hours a week or more just to complete the in game events, many of which aren’t fun, feels like a part time job.
The summoning system is a total cash grab. They have no guarantees and no protections for players.
If you want to summon a legendary hero(best rank in the game) it could take nearly 6 weeks to summon as a free to play. If you spend money you might get multiples of a hero you already have and due to the games leveling/upgrading format multiples of the same hero have no real value, super disappointing when this happens.
Until the game fixes its summoning system, adds in trading, or drastically reduces the time investment required…no one should download the game. It’s a trap.
I’ll update my review if the game turns a corner, but right now it looks like another cash grab game without a conscience.

Unhappy with support
I increased my review to 3* due to the changes to the update that had previously broken the game.
However, I still feel frustrated at the number of crashes with loss of materials and energy. I also have never been able to play via cell signal. Ive played dozens of games on the phone using the app store, paid this developer too much of my money and the best they can say is (essentially) “dunno.”
Im on a major carrier with a reasonably new iphone and have been in the tech industry for long enough to understand basic troubleshooting.
Obviously, the whole freemium concept is morally questionable and I formed a bad spending habit with these games. I never feel good about myself when i buy the offers and, on top of this, I have to ALSO become frustrated by the lack of support.
Im not naive enough to expect compensation, and I know the best solution is to delete the game.
But I will say this… if I do not get some support soon, not only will Stribog lose my money, but I will join the many others leaving the game due to the poor implementation of the latest updates.
