Unique in HOP's - varied & different. The storyline is good, but weird. You have ghosts haunting a town, killing ppl, but you're looking for ancient Viking runes as collectibles. Turns out ghosts are tied in with ancient Vikings - well, some. I found some games too difficult &/or frustrating to do even with the Strategy Guide. I also thought the HOP's were pretty difficult & some of them as well as games made little sense to me.
Overall, I'm enjoying it ok. Not 5 stars, but typical BF fare these days.

GHOSTS OF THE PAST
IT's A fun game....it is innovative....it has lot's of interesting elements: you can choose a "TETRIS-TYPE" of game instead of completing an Hidden-Object problem. I am still really early in the game so have only finished one of Hidden-Object vs Tetris options. That first one required matching two-of-a-kind pairs that were plenty large and easy to find and switching to the Tetris Game was very easy to do as well.
So my recommendation is to buy the game on it's sale price and enjoy having it available with a great Strategy guide attached for the rest of your life! Also, enjoy locating Rune Stones that you will use to solve secret messages that will guide you toward solving the game. As I said: "LOT's OF FUN"!

Oldie but goodie
This is a few years old, but that’s not a bad thing. Really unique mini games, some I’d never seen before. If you’re a hos fan, you might be disappointed; not as many as most hopa, which personally I’m good with. The graphics are typical of the time period, a bit flat. But not bad at all. This game was made before all the big fish pressuring, which churned out quick formulaic games with little soul. This game was a delight to play, despite the old school graphics.

Stopped working
It was a good game until it failed to load shortly after the purchase. I maybe had 5 or so successful launches after purchase then no more. Just got the initial screen with two abandoned cars and then it would churn away with the "be patient i'm working" little spinning wheel, then it would dump back out to the home ipad screen. Closing other open apps and rebooting didn't help. The problem with these games is that they're fairly cheap for the hours of entertainment you get, but if they go kaflooey there's no support. I could probably delete and re-download but then I would start at the beginning. I did that with one game and it was more like work than entertainment, so I'm just going to blow this off.

Good game!
I really liked this game, although I would have preferred a journal. Kudos for imaginative stuff like wanting fish breath and the sound of walking, but I didn't write it down because I thought it would be recorded in the journal like other games. I was kind of sad because I was looking forward to finding this stuff but I couldn't remember all of the items. Thank you for making the game a little more challenging than the usual Big Fish game. Their games are usually way too easy.

Very short demo
I downloaded the trial game and was very disappointed. It was over in the blink of an eye. And there wasn't even one HO game! You had the usual situation of finding items to use. LOTS of back and forth for no reason, really. Luckily there IS a map with a legend telling you where there is something to do, and a teleport to the scene.
The intro game has you getting out of the car, going to the Sheriff's office and putting out a fire on the street. That's about it, other than finding and using the items in these locations. The puzzles are pretty lame, like match the finger prints. Overall, very disappointing!
Definitely NOT worth $6.99.

Fun Puzzles
This game was better than a lot of them. The story line was okay. Some puzzles easier than others but the variety was good. One thing that upset me is when the game was over it said that there was a bonus game available but couldn't find it anywhere. Was I dreaming?

Good game with embarrassing bugs
It's really sad that this was released with such egregious (yet simple) bugs. For example: every time you open the map it flashes a "purchase this game" screen. I paid for the game. This is a silly graphic bug that just takes away from the experience and is just embarrassing and amateur. Also the hint system is awful and the "look for the spirit ball" HOGS are really done poorly. They crawl, forcing you to just swipe the lens on all quadrants of the screen with no rhyme or reason.

Nothing special - Found hints not to be accurate.
Not enough hidden object scenes - lists would have been nice. Found it to be a lot of busy work with no real purpose. Graphics and character voices were good on a positive note. But overall the game didn't thrill me, in fact I was glad when it was over.
Thanks anyways, Shouldn't have bought it on such a short trial.

The constant pop up for ratings is very irritating. Why not ask at the end. You need to play to know if you like it. Thank goodness for the teleporting map. Liked the graphics, the story was okay, the bonus story not so good. I would try another game
