Description
It is the height of the Roman Empire, this is the time when the world shudders under the blows of the Legion and the audience's bellows shake the depths of the Earth from within the stands of the great Colosseum. The winds whip as the blacked nimbus crack to allow slivers of light to caress the faces of those that stand amongst the blood-soaked sands. The Gods watch with pity, the Editor smiles as the coins collect, the Lanista cheers for his gladiator and the gladiators pray for victory. "Those who are about to die, salute you", are the last words of one. The sand jumps from the roars of the spectators, so does the blood. The gladiators steady their nerves; tighten their grip on their armament and let out a roar as they charge their opponent. Here, at this time, is where you find your story has just begun. You assume the roll of a gladiator in training, the path of your life has led you here, and whether you are an ex-soldier fighting to relive the past, a slave fighting for your freedom, a wealthy merchant fighting to gain fame and glory or a woman sold into slavery fighting for your life, the beginning of your destiny... is now.

In an effort to give more playability and allow for more advancement of the characters, GROL has been overhauled with the feedback from our players! Aside from the new design, there is an extensive list of changes that have occurred.
Skill Tree: Gladiators can now be more unique through the use of the Skill Tree. As you gain levels, you receive skill points which can be used to upgrade your Gladiator.
Alignment: Gladiators now have an alignment, which is on a scale that shifts from good deeds to evil deeds that the Gladiator performs.
Maps: Map Fragments can now be gathered through rewards given from Tasks, the Arena and Theatre.
Custom Gladiator Avatars: Gladiators can now be customized! This will provide your Gladiator with a custom Avatar you build for all to see! Find this new offer in the Market.
Level Adjustments: The level cap has been moved down to 20, this will allow for better balancing as the game grows in population. Future Updates will expand upon this level cap as the game grows.
Other Changes:
Arena Fights now properly take into account your coin on hand, which should lead to more coin exchanged in combat.
When Defending, you suffer lower losses in Fame

- Strength builds for combat have proven to be a bit extreme. We have adjusted damage to not be automatic max, instead now it is RNG based like all other aspects of combat. The precision stat of your weapon and your strength will increase the minimum damage range.

Ok game, kind of annoying
The game is good, the concept is great. The thing that gets to me is if you so much as accidentally go off screen at all it has to completely reload the game, ending what you’re trying to do, taking you back to the start menu when you first load the game, and the constantly increasing amount of money required to get exclusive currency stinks. It’s at such an outrageous amount, at a rate of over 260k every 50 minutes as a mercatores, i have to wait a week to produce enough currency to buy 50 tokens.

I've been playing this since its beginning and most basic set up. I really enjoy it's simplicity and the fact that you don't have to take on a second life to do well in it. The updates have added more content without taking away from what made it great in the first place. Can't wait to see where it goes in the future.

Decent Casual at best
Game is decent, although rewards for fighting players is not really at all satisfying. Reason one of a few, experience and money achieved from fighting in the arena with a player is really low. Also feels as if the stats we select at the beginning and what we level up throughout the game is not at all being used like it should. Like it's just a roll of the dice for one outcome, did you win or lose with a random statement. I would like to see in the future a list of what happened during that fight, did I parry or dodge fail/succeed. This would help us figure out what stat we are lacking in after a loss or win.
Overall not bad, decent. A good game to pull out of your pocket and level and mission up your hero during break or a free moment.

Pretty cool game
Easy to play and kind of addicting. It doesn't take much time at all to train your guy or battle. Give it a try. I bet you'll enjoy it.

Very fun game!
I love games like these, ones where I can casually play it or be competitive. Great pick up for a few minutes at a time then put down. Cool artwork and menus. Really fun combat and it's even better when I get free stuff. I see myself playing this for a long time.
