Description
Gleam is the only social community and connectivity app exclusively for gay, bi, trans, and queer (GBTQ+) men to make like-minded friends around common interests and shared experiences. Gleam is NOT another hookup or dating app.
Gleam is all about giving and receiving – giving and receiving friendship, giving and receiving advice, ideas, and inspiration, and giving and receiving respect. Whether you’re into gaming, fashion, parenting, or, yes, sex; whether you’re a top, bottom, fem, masc, old, young – Gleam is an inclusive, hate-free environment that aims to create a safer, happier, and healthier social media for all.
Unlike some other GBTQ+ apps, where homophobes or superficial queens rain on the parade, Gleam is about supporting and appreciating one another’s uniqueness. There’s no body shaming, fem shaming, racism, hate spreading, heteronormativity, or judgment of any kind here. None. We don’t play like that.
In other words, Gleam is about real connections, zero shade. Because at Gleam, we all shine brighter together.
Our features include:
Hubs: The nerve centers of Gleam, Hubs are where you create and/or join other like-minded Gleamers to discuss topics that light you up. You can join or create a Hub about books, trivia, games, drag race, model airplanes, bad hookup experiences, great hookup experiences, family drama – you are in control.
Huddles: Live audio meetups for you and your Gleam friends to dive deeper into discussions and connect in a new way – and, yes, we’ll be hosting frequent Huddles with GBTQ+ leaders, luminaries, and just plain cool people we admire.
Personal Feeds: Post and share your latest adventures, thoughts, worries, jokes – whatever you want, Posts are the way to let other Gleamers know what you’re up to, and for you to see what’s happening with them. All we ask is that you keep it SFW.
DMs: Want to take it private? Start direct conversations with like-minded Gleamers to make new friends – or something else…
Safety Features: Human and AI moderation create a safe space by routing out haters, trolls, and anyone who wants to bring down others. No jerks here! Users have the ability to block and/or report users who are violating Gleam’s safety guidelines. Huddle hosts have the ability to mute and kick out disruptive Huddle guests.
