Description
GMonitor is a simple Field Monitor application for Wifi capable Lumix cameras like the Lumix G6,7,81,85, GX8, GX80/85,GH4/5. Simply enable wifi on the camera and connect the app with camera. After connection you can view the live view fullscreen on your iPhone or iPad.
Caution for GH3 users - as reported by some users there is no live view during recording on some GH3 models. This is a bug of the camera. It seems that not all GH3 models exhibit this bug.
You have the option for different display modes including anamorphic desqueeze. Also it is possible to display 1:2.35 crop marks.
If Peaking or Zebra is enabled on the camera you can also view it on your iPhone/iPad
As the Lumix cameras only support 640*480 resolution over the Wifi connection the image is scaled on your device.

Better Than Panasonic! Looking For More.
I'm using this app with my GH4 in 4K 100MBPS UHD, at 24fps. This app is way better than the proprietary app offered by Panasonic, but I'm hoping it will be improved in two major ways. 1) No latency. 2) Better picture quality. The image is very grainy, and the latency is distracting when self monitoring. I will gladly pay another $3.99 for this app if these improvements are made. Thank you!

Awesome! Finally full screen with the G7!
I have been needing full screen control for the Panasonic G7 because you can’t see anything in the corner of that screen the image app gives you. This app worked perfect.

Don't waste your cash or time. Stopped working after 2 weeks
Stopped working after 2 weeks. I get a circle with a line across it. Will connect at time but still will not run. Save your cash and put it towards a real more affordable monitor.

No Focus Peaking while Recording
Makes this app useless for me. Focus Peaking is there while not recording but once I hit the record button, no peaking. If you don't need this feature then this might work for you.

Pretty Decent
Good alternative for a quick and easy to use external monitor. I like it more than the Panasonic app because you use the camera without an annoying "camera is in use" message interrupting the app. I just wish it was HD. App looks decent on my iPhone, but on my iPad, the resolution is quite poor.

A must for anamorphic shooters
Let me start by saying that unless you use a external recorder on a Gh4 you can't record internally with the 4:3 anamorphic option and use a external monitor (for desqueeze option) unless you use a wifi app like this. This app covers all aspects of anamorphic desqueeze and also shows focus peaking too. As a regular monitor it's great too. For cameras like the G7,G6, G85 etc with no hdmi output it's a excellent option for having a screen to view your shots and incredibly handy for gimbal work where you can't see be screen on the camera. I find the resolution perfectly acceptable using a iPhone 6s Plus. I really recommend this app. It also allows you to press record from the app as well which is a nice added feature.
