Best golf gps app for Apple Watch
If you have an Apple Watch, this is the best golf GPS for you. The App Store is filled with old school golf GPS apps that were all designed for the phone, but this app seems to be designed for the Watch from the get go. Very thoughtful design and attention to details. Take the distance measurement for example, it gives an estimate of GPS accuracy, I realize GPS chip takes time to lock in and sometimes the measurement is rough, this app gives you that feedback so that you know whether to trust the number. The score tracking is super efficient too. In Pro mode, you can track stroke by stroke, and it is magically that it can capture my swings automatically. On top of that, it also gives you swing analysis, so you can see immediately how your swing (e.g., angle, speed, etc) affects your results. There is swing analysis even for Putts. I never realize my back Putt swing is so slow until I used this app. TL;DR, just get the app. If you are not ready for the full commitment, download their regular version and just pay $5/month to try it out (there is a one week free trial too)

Developers listened and made great Updates
I had posted and earlier less enthusiastic review based on difficulty of using the Apple Watch interface. The developers must have been listening, because the latest updates make both the watch and phone interfaces much more reliable and user friendly. The ability to correct lost or missing data is very good.
The swing analysts is a nice addition, but I do wish the instantaneous analysts was saved on the phone for later review.

So far, so good (with a small hiccup)
Tried for the first time yesterday on my Apple Watch and was almost completely impressed. Worked just as well as my old golf buddy, except on one dogleg where it seemed to want to give me the distance to the hole “as the crow flies” from the tee box instead of the actual distance (including the dogleg). It only happened on the one hole, so I’ll try it out again within the next couple of weeks to see if I have the same issue. Otherwise, no complaints and is a great replacement for the golf buddy!

Great App & Customer Service
I have been using this app on my iPhone for years with much love. Now, the pro version on the Apple Watch is terrific. Distance to carry, etc are quickly accessible on the watch. Apple Watch 1 with iOS 3, is fast enough to keep the round moving. No one notices me keeping my score on the watch. If you have any issue, customer service is very responsive. The app keeps improving and updates keep coming. Great app & company.

Functionality
The app was brilliant until the recent update. I already have the premium package (the once off fee), to which I had full functionality of the app. Now, when I try to access, it doesn’t recognize my membership and requires me to go premium (again? After 2+ years). Also, it doesn’t want to sync with my watch anymore either, which means I can’t open a golf round unless I use my phone, which also has limited functionality now.

Fine, Convenient App With Top Drawer Developer Support
Very happy with this app on my Apple Watch 3. Appreciate that I can glance at my Watch and get into the shot without hauling my iPhone around with me. Must especially recognize and commend developer’s professional, prompt assist when I had questions - thorough and fast. I am premium on iOs 12. Looking forward to many more rounds with this great app.

Lake of Isles north course needs update
I love the app and the way the you can pick your targets. I played the Lake of Isles north course today and the hole sequence at the course did not match the app. Talking with the pro shop, in around 2017 or 2018 the hole sequence was modified at the course. They say the app needs to pull the latest data file from the USGAA or something like that. Can you see if you can update this Troon managed course.

Can’t finish a Round & Bad Customer Service
Even with turning off my Apple Watch heart monitor and using simple scorekeeping, I can’t finish a round without the battery running down completely.
Also, you can’t get a monthly subscription or 7 day trial with this app. The only way I could use the app on my watch was to buy the $80 premium membership. Vimo Labs will not refund my purchase, and the app is totally useless to me. They refer me to itunes support and they won’t give me a refund either.
Another negative. You can’t get your 9 hole or total score until you quit the round and look it up as a previous round.

I've been using TrackMyGolf for a year now and I absolutely love it, now comes the Pro version, I am switching. I've played more golf than I've ever played and now I'm more informed than I've ever been. I make better club decisions and also inform my teammates of tips/tricks. My buddies own the expensive yardage readers .. I'm like yo dude.. let me pull out my watch Boom! There is your yardage. If you play golf. Get this app!

Great app only a few problems
When they said it decreases battery life in the watch; They mean it. I can’t even finish a round without my watch dying. I have to switch to just using my phone and that’s super annoying cause then I have to manually log my swings. Being a premium user it’s a little frustrating because I really do like this app. The other thing is when I customize my clubs they don’t show up on the watch, only the phone.
