Great tool
Photography magazines have all pretty much devolved into billboards for whoever will pay their bills.
Good light is different. It give practical inexpensive techniques that anyone can do as well as technique to push a photographers skill level,,
I’ve pretty much given up on magazines except for GL. This is the only one I actually subscribe to.

Support is hard to obtain but love the content
There is really no way to reach the developer except through the review process. I have an active subscription but the app tells me “I need to connect to the internet and then click re-load”
I promise you I am connected to the internet. I can not get to the help desk inside of the app if the app does not open.
The web address I have from previous emails is no longer active.
So I am forced to come here to the review section in hopes you see this issue

Abysmal Service
Though the mag is noteworthy, if you ever encounter a subscription issue like I have, you’ll discover that there is actually no way to contact the magazine or the app developer for help. I renewed my subscription in November and as of yet have not been able to access any of the magazines onto my iPad though access to mags prior to renewal remain accessible. Even more frustrating is that I have to create my own process to rectify... after no responses from using email, Twitter, and Apple support. Perhaps it is wiser to benefit from the free products the publisher provides.

Frustrating
This app continually asks for me to subscribe when I have an ongoing subscription through apple. Even though you have paid for your downloaded issues; once the app ask you to resubscribe; you lose access to those previously purchased issues. If the creators can fix this glitch, it would be a perfect app because the issues are filled with very informative articles.

Good Light for good photography tips
Aesthetically pleasing, informative and interactive without being too fussy. Good for photographers new and advanced as well as artists looking to spruce up their illustration or just seeking models. Nice price as well.

Terrible app experience
I have been a subscriber since the beginning but I am constantly asked to purchase individual issues. Past six issues don’t even have an option to download. Customer support is non-existent. If they can’t fix my problems I will have to cancel my subscription.

Not good anymore
The articles are not written/edited well and seem amateurish. I know Michael is a good writer and teacher, but the contributing writers and photographers are not. Most articles I’ve read offer little practical help and are more of a day in the life of the writer. I used to really enjoy this magazine, but it has gone downhill in the past few years.

Great articles. I love that the articles come with diagrams to visualize the setups as having videos is a bonus.

Honestly the best teaching tool I can imagine. Always interesting topics from great photographers. Ideas. Processes. Beauty. Love it!!! I use the ideas book with new models for ideas.
