We’ve been working with our chatbot friend, SquatchBot, a mad scientist creation that combines the folklore legend Sasquatch with the power of artificial intelligence, to familiarize him with thousands of pieces of outdoor gear. Squatchbot now can answer your questions about gear by tagging the actual gear he is referencing. The Houndsmen Trail is LIVE! Tap your Home Screen and in your tray, you can scroll over to see “Houndsmen,” where you can explore all-things hounds. Trophies that are tagged as hounds now go to the Houndsman trail, and when tagged with Mobile Hunting, they go to the Mobile Hunting Trails. SquatchBot also now recommends gear when you ask questions about gear.

Big news for long-time members: You can now edit your Trophies! So if you fat fingered a stat, you can easily fix that by tapping the 3 dot menu on your Trophy. We’ve also added some functionality for houndsmen, which includes being able to list if you pursued the Trophy with hounds. The Houndsmen Pursuit page is also coming soon.

We did it. We finally added hashtags. We’ve admittedly loathed the idea of hashtags in GoWild because they can be spammy and vanity driven, but ultimately we decided they could be useful and caved in. Let us know how you’re liking the addition!

Howdy, GoWild fam. While half the team has been in Pennsylvania, the code conquerors have cranked hard over the last few weeks and added some nice features to the app.

We’ve updated a few bugs on the notifications screen, fixed a few things on product pages and hidden the magical Christmas elf for the season. This update is less of a gift from Santa, and more of an update, although it does improve a few things. Mostly, we’ve improved our category pages in the shop so that you see gear that’s trending first. The category pages also default to products that are in stock. Other than that, it’s a few things you need not fret your jolly little head with right now. Go have an eggnog and fall asleep by the fire (just not too close to it—that sounds dangerous).

Unrivaled outdoors social network app
Hands down the best app to allow outdoorsman/women to connect from all walks of life. You can even score your trophies (kills/creels) and earn points based on current scoring methods, and see how your trophy stacks up against others! It’s like Facebook and Instagram had a baby but the drama was removed. Instead, GoWild creates a place for you to connect with others that are just as passionate about the outdoors and gives you specific “trails” of interest to follow and really connect with those who share your specific interests! I’ve learned some valuable information and from other people’s shares experiences on the “trails” that I will take to my next hunt.

A Fortunate Accident
I literally stumbled upon this app while looking for something else (can’t even remember what it was). I am so grateful that I decided to give it a try. It is the first app I open every day and the last I check before shutting down the phone. It is a very “social” app but it goes way beyond that. You can post pictures, ask for advice, share recipes and literally start to feel as if you’ve known many of these people for a long time! All this with no judgement and a sense of true camaraderie that keeps you coming back to see what new adventure someone has had in the outdoors. There is truly something for everyone; hunters, fishermen, hikers and bikers, photographers and more. If you love the outdoors, you’ll find it. The people who created all this are as real as it gets and ready to help whenever needed. A really great app!

An amazing community, and brilliant app!
I joined GoWild recently after hearing about it on the Rich Outdoors podcast by Mr. Cody Rich. Since setting up my account I have been able to follow some amazing people who are very inspiring and make me excited to get outside more frequently. I grew up hunting and fishing but got out of touch with it through college. Recently I have been inspired to get back out there and the support I have received so far through the community using GoWild has been helpful in supporting me and inspiring me to learn even more! It is a fantastic idea for an app, well executed in design and user experience, and really aids in connecting with the wonderful community that hunts and fishes. Many adventures are ahead of me and I can’t wait to share them through the GoWild app!

Great app and a great community
Brad and the GoWild team have created a social media app that decidedly took a diverging path from others in this space. Nowhere else in social media is hunting and the outdoors embraced like it is with GOWild. They have created a community of diverse people with a common love of the outdoors. “Trophy” has a different meaning here, and isn’t just about points or weight or size. Trophies here are measured by the effort it took to get them, the story around them, and the recipes made with them. This is a great app with a huge focus on conservation and sustaining and growing the hunting, fishing, and conservation community. Also recommend you listen to the Restless Native podcast too. It is another fantastic effort Brad and the team have created.

Worth Your Time
In many apps now, you get lost in the mix or censored out of the feed. No one sees your posts, and you only see a few of the same people posting whenever you view it. People give rude feedback and comments to posts or questions, and it makes you feel like deleting the app altogether. This is not the case with GoWild, though. It’s a real community. It’s not a popularity contest. It’s not a bunch of critics judging every word or photo you post. It’s a group of people sharing what they love and encouraging others to learn and do the same. Download it now. You won’t regret it.

Loving this app. I will admit, I was a little biased towards another fishing app I have when downloading GoWild. However, my mind has been changed and I use this app everyday. It helps keep track of all your fish and other game, saves your trophy catches at the top of your profile and allows you to explore literally hundreds of other outdoor and wildlife paths and fellow enthusiasts. It has even MORE as well, too much to list! So far, so good and the creators and administrators are extremely involved with this community always offering a helping hand should you need it. It’s like the Facebook of Nature.

I have only been on Go Wild for a few months but being about to see what other hunters use and some of the methods they use has helped me a lot. The creators of the app are extremely friendly and try to help in any way they can including connecting you with other outdoorsman that could help answer questions . The fact that you can post trophies is awesome and makes you feel more proud of them!!! I have gotten atleast a dozen of my outdoorsman buddies to download and will continue to use this app on a daily!!!!

I am/was a member of a few hunting/fishing/outdoors groups on Bookface and got absolutely sick of everyone complaining about stuff. When I found the Go Wild App I downloaded it and absolutely love it. Great pictures, great stories, great info, great community without all the foul language and whining that I always ran into in Bookface. If you live the outdoors like I do, why on earth would you want to hear a bunch of whinnying and nonsense, when you are supposed be to enjoying the outdoors? I’ve been with GoWild since it’s beginnings. I was looking for a social media app that catered to outdoor enthusiasts, hunters, anglers, hikers, and I definitely found it. It has seen major improvements since its inception and is now one of the finest social media apps for outdoorsmen and women. While the UI is simple and easy to pick up on, and the content is fantastic, what impressed me most is the community and what is has evolved into. Everyone is willing to share their stories and give advice to complete strangers! Or rather, friends. Awesome app, Great community, and a good download.
