A simple and easy to use odometer. GPS Odometer only does one thing, and does it well: measure distance traveled. Includes run in background capability. Ideal for almost anything that requires measuring outdoor distance traveled such as walking, running, driving, boating, or hiking. Note that GPS does not work well under a roof. For best results, use outdoors.

- Speed (average or current)
- Displacement (straight line distance from your starting point) This can be hidden.
Distance units include:
- Kilometers
- Miles
- Nautical miles
- Meters
- Feet
Speed units include:
- Kilometers per hour
- Miles per hour
- Nautical miles per hour
- Meters per second
- Feet per second
Other features:
- Large font adjustable display.
- Accurate to within 1 percent when compared to most car odometers under normal driving conditions.
- Includes a lock to help prevent accidental reset of your trip. After unlocked, it locks back in a few seconds, or you can lock it yourself.
- Approximates distance traveled in some GPS dead spots such as driving through a tunnel by adding the as-a-bird flies distance to your trip.
Please also note:
- GPS Odometer does run in the background if you leave it running. Be sure to pause the trip when you are finished or battery life will be negatively affected. The timer stops when the trip is paused.
- To change the display, tap the unlock button and notice the three green boxes that temporarily appear. Each button adjusts a different part of the display.
- You can change the language to English in the application settings.

- Many users seem to have trouble determining if the trip is running or paused so the following changes were made:
- (1) - Upon starting, resuming, or pausing a trip, a temporary notification displays for about 2 seconds.
- (2) - The start/resume button is tinted appropriately. (red if paused, and green if running)
- (3) - While in the paused state, the text is colored slightly red/brown.
- Changed how the waypoint filter works to allow for shorter update intervals and the default setting is now more centrist. (a little false movement is not the end of the world)
- If accuracy is poor and Wi-Fi is off, the user is informed that enabling Wi-Fi may improve accuracy.
- If the device is a Wi-Fi only iPad (no satellite GPS receiver), the user is informed.
- Added support for the iPhone X screen dimensions.

Its a great little app. Love it.
Have the free version. Its simple but does the job. Love it. Glad to see that good apps for free are still out there.

Just what I was looking for
As others have stated, this app provides the basic information - distance, speed and time - which was what I was looking for on my weekly recreational bike rides. The other apps I looked at had way too many additional features that I did not want. The display is clean and easy to read as I ride. Unobtrusive ad banner at the bottom. When I stopped the app at the end of my ride, a larger ad did appear, which was easily bypassed.

Of the several GPS walking distance apps that I’ve tried, this one best fits my requirements.
Very accurate too. I determined accuracy by walking the same route many times, and seeing very similar distance reports.
I now have the “Pro” version of this app, which eliminates ads, and provides a few useful features.

I just downloaded and used this app. I’m not very technical and found the app easy to navigate and love the pause feature so the time doesn’t continue to run.

Terrible—inaccurate
First time I tried this application—I want a simple odometer to track distance and speed period. Speed showed at 12 mph slowly decreasing to what I believe my rate was around 3.6 mph and it took 20 min. Distance seem to lag as well on the low side. I walk 1.2 or so miles and it registered only .6 miles. Am deleting this app from my phone.

App sending emails to developer from me?
Why is this app sending 2 emails per minute to the developer - addressed from me? I can’t find anywhere why it’s doing this or how to turn it off. It’s tracking my location even when not in use? I’m not into being stalked. Creepy and not acceptable. Goodbye!

Worthless!
Worthless! It shoved an ad in front of me and when I went back to the app it had stoped keeping track of the distance. Deleted it from my iPhone ad soon as I discovered this.

This one got the distance right, but displayed my speed as 2,500 mph. Used it once and deleted it
