The idea of the app is great, but it’s been around for what feels like a couple of years, and the improvements haven’t come. The fact that it takes days for a show to be added isn’t great, but the limited amount of shows is truly bad. I’ve still never been able to figure out how to search consistently. The gg app figured out how to make a Letterboxd for games that works great, and I just wish grappl figured out the same.

This is the future, however there are currently a lot of bugs.
When searching, the UX does not allow the user to go back and update their search. You are forced to close the app, if you wish to update your search from Kenny Omega to Brock Lesnar.
You cannot leave a comment when you rate a match, yet you can leave comments and like other people’s ratings.
Lots of missing matches that could have been added with a simple web scrape. There are a few open source pro wrestling databases and it appears none are being used in conjunction with this app.
Lots of efficiencies to be gained and UX bugs to fix. These are just what I found after 5 mins in the app.

Great app
Would love to see some of the bugs fixed (doesn’t update initial entry when changing a rating, doesn’t update when following new people right away, doesn’t save location, etc.), the addition of different promotions and a way of checking out matches I’ve rated more easily. But overall a really great looking app that’s constantly up to date on the promotions it does feature.

Great idea, AWFUL execution
Basically Letterboxd for pro wrestling. The interface is fine, but it’s littered with bugs that make the app unusable. When you search something, it either takes an eternity to load or doesn’t load at all. If the search does load, you can’t go back- the “X” button doesn’t work, so you have to close the app and go back in to look up anything else. Clicking on a match from your profile is a crapshoot, whether or not it loads is random. Don’t bother with this

Good, But Plenty Of Room For Improvements
I enjoy this app a lot so far. But it would be great to add a feature that allows you to invite friends to the app. And it would be even better if users could additional companies (like OTT, CMLL, DDT, All-Japan, etc.), as well as add events and matches so that other users can see highly rated matches from companies they may not be familiar with.

Needs More Indy matches
Would love to see people be able to add matches from their favorite local shows. Would help fans discover more of the great undiscovered wrestling out there.

Too sweet!
Grappl has tons of potential and could quickly become the de facto wrestling fan app. It’s new, so there are a few bugs, but as long as the devs keep trucking along, it’s going to be awesome. Great work! Hope to see more and more matches/promotions added.

App Interface is Horrible
Yo cannot exit out of searches and constantly have to close the app. I like the concept of the app, but there have been no updates to fix the bugs (I.e being able to close out of searches, using the X button in the left hand corner that doesn’t even work, and being able to update your searches).

Completely unusable even a few years after it launched. Great idea though. Would be great if someone could make it actually work!
