The David M,
Almost there
This app is invaluable for studying Greek, but you have to keep a couple of things in mind:
1. To set it up requires the desktop version of Logos Bible Software. This isn't a big deal for me because I already use and love the software, so the setup was pretty easy, but if you're looking for a completely stand-alone solution, you need to look elsewhere.
2. The app locks up ALOT. By alot, I mean every time you shut down and restart the app, it locks up. I've gotten used to killing it as a matter of habit now, and it works okay if you leave the card view and go back to the list of stacks before leaving the app, but if you happen to leave the app while viewing a card, you'll have to force quit the app to get it to respond. This should be fixed.
3. If you've marked all of your cards as "got it" then the app will start reviewing all of your cards for you. If you subsequently miss one though, beware of marking it as such, because then that will be the only card the app will show you, at least until the next day. Use "got it" sparingly, and only when, as the tutorial says, you REALLY know the word.

That said, I still recommend this app. The layout is clean and having the cards in digital format is far better than having hundreds of notecards to carry around.

An Excellent Help With One Major Flaw
The most important thing to understand with this app is that is an extension to your Word List documents in Logos. It is NOT a standalone flash card app. Armed with a proper understanding of what this app is, you are free to enjoy this as the excellent tool it is. It is as powerful as the Word Lists with which you use it. You can easily create your own lists in Logos. It is also possible to share word lists with others—and to leverage existing lists such as those for many major language grammars. An additional excellent feature is the ability to group words in sections and then control which sections will be actively worked. For example, you can focus only on the current chapter of your grammar or all chapters up to the current chapter.

The primary weakness of this app is, however, a pretty big one in my opinion. The app suffers from very poor randomization (shuffling). Because words appear in the same order, you can very easily end up unwittingly memorizing the LIST of the words rather than the words themselves. Hopefully a future update will fix this problem, but since the app does not seem to be frequently updated, I would not hold my breath.

AWESOME APP!!!!!
I’ve been using this app for almost 5 years now and I still love it!!!!!!! Not sure what the other guy is having problems with because I use it on my iPhone and I’ve never had any problems with it. Yep.

Needs fixing
basic programming issues right off the bat. Turn it portrait, app goes landscape. Turn it landscape, app goes portrait. I don’t want to hold my head at 90 degrees to use the app.

Pronunciation
I purchased the Koine pronunciation dataset in my logos, but the flashcard app pronounces them in Erasmian. Any help?
Recc,
What a shame
This doesn’t do anything

App not working at all under iOS9
This app has never worked great for me, but now under iOS9 it does not work at all. When I tap on the app, it opens and then immediately crashes - both on my iPhone and iPad. I hope they will release an update soon and fix that.
Otherwise this app as an idea is great, since Logos software can generate limitless variations of Biblical Vocabulary Flash Cards in just seconds (yes, you have to have the software on your computer in order to generate the flash cards).
Logos/Faithlife has great ideas and amazing collections of books and what you can do with them under Logos Software, but their technical implementation has always sucked, compared to the competition (BibleWorks and Accordance).
DunlopMichael,
Great!
This is a great app and a welcome addition to the Logos family of apps.

At the risk of sounding ungrateful (I'm not, this is a great app) I have one feature suggestion that I think would make this app truly awesome. What if, on the definition side of the flashcard, there was a button that would pull up full lexicon entries from the various lexicons we have in our Logos libraries??? Just a thought—I think that would make this flashcard app lightyears ahead of any others out there.

UPDATE: I no longer see the speaker button which allowed me to hear the Greek work spoken aloud. What happened? I was especially excited to use it with the new Koine pronunciation in Logos 6! What happened to this feature? I will return my rating to five stars if this feature returns.

Not working
Maybe it is ios9 and maybe not, but this app isn't very user friendly, efficient, or useful. Why must I have to go to my PC and select the verses I want to learn to only use on my phone? I want to choose my verse(s) directly from the desktop and mobile app and have those verses show up in both apps. For now, this app is way off the cuff for efficient workflow, organization, or learning. Make some changes to utilize the already great workflow the Bible app possess.

BTW, what is this companies name? Logos, Faithlife, Bible??!! And why the redundant apps that don't separate anything?

Fantastic App
Fantastic app for working with the original languages of the Bible. I do flashcards everyday, so this app is extremely helpful. I would give it five stars if there was a way to make your own list. I love that I don't have to type in every Greek or Hebrew word from specific passages, but it would be great if it could be modified in some senses. For example if I were able to make flashcards that included the type of word, or words that are not lexical forms with the correct parsing on the back. Great app, love using it! I use it at stoplights, in the bathroom, and anytime that I am waiting. Thanks!
