GroupSpot HITS the spot for busy parents!
As a user, I can’t say enough great things about GroupSpot and how easy it has made it for me to not miss an announcement, submission deadline or event for the various school and sport groups I participate in. In the past, I would frantically scour through the countless emails I would get each day to try and retrieve an email I knew I had seen at one point, or that form link I needed to make sure we were registered for an event. Now all of this information is contained in the app within my Groups and right at my fingertips. It’s already so easy and intuitive to use the app but the best part is how responsive the GroupSpot team is to feedback. Here and there I have submitted a few requests for things I would like to see in the app and not only received immediate responses but also got to see this feedback carried forward. Their level of commitment to meeting their customer’s needs and making all our lives easier is truly unmatched. Thank you for saving me so much time and helping me stay on track, GroupSpot. As a busy parent where each day is a delicate balancing act, there is no greater value than this!

Group Spot the Best for School Organizations!
We struggled to find a vendor who could adequately handle a mobile directory for our large school district (5,800 students). That is, until we found Group Spot. Not only did Group Spot develop a timely, fabulous, highly functional and streamlined school directory for each of our 9 schools, they have revolutionized the way we communicate to our school communities. The ability to post tons of information to every member simultaneously, pin those posts to get more views, use the app to immediately poll parents on issues and ideas, and include all kinds of attachments, sign-up sheets, etc. has made our jobs so much easier and our parent/guardians very satisfied. Best Book Club App!!
It has been such a struggle organizing book clubs - from gathering emails every time we need to communicate, winding up with long annoying chains, to trying to remember what books we’ve read and who likes what, and introducing new members with no way of revisiting our history... not to mention the frustration of figuring out whose hosting, where and who’s bringing what to each meeting. Email overload. There just has never been an easy solution to keep everyone in touch and keep track of all things book club. Enter Kohort - literally the life saving solution for our book club! Honestly I think we would have fallen apart without it, instead it’s enabled us to be so organized and streamlined with little stress on the organizer. I truly believe that thanks to Kohort, our book club has not only stay active and alive but has totally thrived. Absolutely love this app. I’m loving learning about its various functions and even started a group for my family. Can’t recommend it enough!

Great for a rock band!
I was looking for something to get my cover band organized, because texting was getting way too messy. I went through nearly every “group organization” and “team collaboration” app in the App Store before I finally landed on this one.
It is pretty quick, it looks good, and has a decent number of features, not the least of which is the forms: there are options for just about any situation.
Feedback for the devs:

- The “primary color” selector is hard to exit, particularly because there’s no “exit” or “save” button.
-“Notifications” doesn’t seem to show notifications for comments, messages, etc.
Feature requests:
-A mode for regular bands would be great. I know a few who could probably use this app.
=There don’t appear to be many band-centric apps that are as feature rich as this one.
-User Preference to automatically go to a group upon opening the app would be great. I only care about my one group.
-Similarly, it’d be nice to set the Home button to that preferred group.

GroupSpot Connects Us at Ridgewood Crew
I rely on GroupSpot for effective intergroup communication. Besides being a member on three groups, I run the one for Ridgewood Crew. I have the privilege to see how GroupSpot works from both the user and admin’s perspectives. I often use GroupSpot to make announcements, to organize events, and to communicate. I have found that there are carefully selected tools available at my disposal: posting, signups, rosters, chat, photo albums, calendar, etc. GroupSpot is very easy to customize to fit for your group needs and it seamlessly releases newer versions to incorporate user feedback – I was happy to see one of our feature requests released quickly :) The expert users in our group have explored GroupSpot and shared new tricks for us all to use. At its heart, GroupSpot is designed to connect. I am happy to say that it has connected us all at Ridgewood Crew.

The perfect solution at a difficult time
Given the COVID-19 situation and limited funeral services that were allowed, my family and I were unsure the best way to honor and capture the memories of my husband, who recently passed away. We considered various virtual options, but wanted to house related information, photos and memorabilia in manner that was more intimate than traditional social media platforms. We also wanted to create a longer lasting connection source. Upon thinking it through, we landed on using the Kohort app. It was very flexible and easy to use, and could be tailored quickly to meet our specific needs. It allowed us to invite other family members and friends, who then engaged with the app in a meaningful way, expanding both the memories and connections. Kohort really has served as the perfect solution during a very difficult time.

Ever since I was introduced to Mark in the summer of 2019, he has always been professional, accessible, focused and approachable. The quality of his photos and captions on the Kohort app are second to none. Mark encapsulated the incredible full 2019 season for Ridgewood HS for both the varsity team and the undefeated freshman football team with brilliant action shots. He was able to get the coaches leading the squad and he also snapped pics of the band and cheerleaders. The app allowed family members who couldn’t attend the games for whatever reason to enjoy and partake in big plays in a real time fashion, while keeping up with the score throughout the game. I’ve really enjoyed the app and always look forward to seeing pictures of the team and my son in action (even though I was at every game)...

Trust me, you NEED Kohort!
Give me a minute here...Our lives today demand that we connect with multiple groups, and members, on an almost-daily basis: think sports, school, religious, and/or common interest-based groups. Most of us muddle through group communications, whether it’s endlessly clicking on “Reply All” and searching through layered email chains OR searching for that text thread to find the information we need (right at that minute usually!!) like the date and location for the next practice, game or meeting, or the photo that the best photographer in the group took of a fun and/or important business, sports or family event!

Key to Keeping Me Organized
Groupspot works like my brain does - for me the interface is clean and intuitive. I administer one group for my child’s volleyball team and am starting a second for a school parents’ affiliation group. My group parents love that it’s a cross platform app and that the privacy settings can be personalized so you can get info in real time or in drop in when it suits you to see what the group is doing. It’s so much easier to stay organized and contribute to these groups with everything in one place. No more searching text messages and emails to find something. We can cluster events, share ideas, sign-ups, rsvps, photos and videos. It’s the best and I can’t wait to see how the app develops in the future.

I’ve been coaching and now chairing a HS sports booster club. Getting communication out to players and parents was always difficult and often time constrained. Not anymore!
GroupSpot always you to update players and parents immediately about changes in games, practices and location.
The APP allows for the entire schedule for the season to be laid out at your fingertips. Dates, times, location is all there at the click of a button. Need to send an update on a rained out game? No problem! Need to change the game location? No issue…you make the change and all in your group get notified instantly!
After the game is over you can go in and add a score, include a write up and even post pictures of the game!! You can also see your teams overall record with each W and L listed.
