GrubSouth Hack 5.5.5 + Redeem Codes

I’ve used the website and the app and they are both so user friendly! I work across the road from one of their supporting restaurants. I can place my order, set my pickup time, and promptly pick up to return back to the office.
I love this App!!

I found the use of the app itself very simple and easy to use. Overall the app is not my reason for the 3 star rating. The service on the other hand deserves less than 3 stars. If I were a bedridden person this service would be a great way to get some takeout. Since I am not, waiting almost 2 hours and paying over $50 for cold take out was not how I imagined this service. We wanted to give it a try with so much local advertising, but it really was not worth it. I also did not care for the implied 15% gratuity, on a cheaper tab I could see offering the runner that much but when it’s cold, expensive and took almost 2 hours; No it is a way overpriced service. My pizza guy can get it to me in less than an hour I’ll give him $10 for my Hot pizza. I honestly considered canceling the order about an hour into my wait and just go pick it up myself. Cut the wait time in half and I might try this service again. Until then I will be deleting this app and keeping my car keys on standby.

I finally placed my first order on the GrubSouth app last night because one of my favorite restaurants only delivers through GrubSouth. I ordered well before the closing time of the restaurant but my approximate delivery time was 60-90 minutes after closing (I live 15 minutes from the restaurant—tops!). I started worrying after the closing time and then chatted with a very helpful member of the GrubSouth team, but he couldn’t find a record of my order anywhere. I had an email confirmation thanking me for my first order on GrubSouth and it had my items listed on it, the total price, and approximate delivery time. Despite this email, apparently, my order was never even processed and I wouldn’t have been notified that my food was not coming had I not reached out to the GrubSouth team. Thankfully I don’t think my debit card was charged for the order. I wish the app would have kept me from ordering if receiving my food was impossible due to the time. I ended up settling for a different restaurant that was on DoorDash. I’m a DoorDash driver and past user and I’ve always appreciated the confirmations and notifications you receive that tell you when your order is being made at the restaurant, when your driver is on the way to the restaurant, and when they’re on their way to you with your order. I would suggest some similar updates to the GrubSouth app because it’s a great idea for this area, it just needs some work!

I’ve ordered through GrubSouth many times. I’ve always had good service. If there has ever been an issue (which is rare) the problem has been corrected.

Every time I’ve ordered using this app the estimated deliver time is 1-1.5 hours. Then, I get no updates until after the delivery time when it says they have just now sent my order to be prepared by the restaurant, to keep it from being cold??
So it seems like they didn’t have a driver within the first 1.5hrs estimated delivery time and rather than let me know, just don’t send my order in.
I have now been waiting for my food for 2.5hrs. The website and app still have the original estimated delivery time. I got one message from customer service saying my order was delayed and to reply with concerns, no one replied to my message. So disappointed with this app, not to mention they charge crazy delivery fees AND “taxes&fees”.
Will not be using again and recommend no one else does. Better if picking it up ourselves than waiting nearly 3 hours for (STILL) cold over priced food.

I went through the entire process of making a delivery order and creating an account through Apple ID only for the app to freeze, crash, and then force me to do the entire process over again only to be given an error telling me that I cannot log in with my Apple account.

I then tried to create an account through Google. The account was successfully made, but when I chose to pay via Apple Pay the app froze again and then returned an error saying Apple Pay is an invalid payment method despite the app’s GUI having clickable buttons for both sign in with Apple ID and Apple Pay.

What is the point of having these options in your app if they aren’t supported? What was going through your minds when you wrote this, devs?

Writing this before I even get my food. I ordered my food, added a nice tip, and got the final total. I was shocked! As we are high risk for COVID-19, I bit the bullet and went ahead and paid. I then checked the restaurant menu prices. The restaurant was almost $4 cheaper on every entree (4 ordered) than the menu on the app! That’s $16 more than the restaurant! Why? They are already getting a fee, and in the fine print, they are even recovering their credit card processing fees.

As for the menu, it did not have half of the items available at the restaurant. Also, there was no way to modify an order. I wanted to simply remove the mushrooms on one and I couldn’t. After this one time, I’m deleting this app and never using it again!

While I love the idea behind this app and service, the execution needs work. Wait times are ridiculous, delivery prices are nuts, and half the time I’m getting a call saying my order can not be completed due to drivers calling out or having issues. I could go out myself and pay half of what Grubsouth charges and have a third of the wait time. No way am I waiting 3 hours for $30 of food that would normally cost $15 in store.

I should have followed my first mind and NOT used GrubSouth. I placed an order that total $38+. I tipped my driver in cash. About 30 minutes later I get a text notification from my bank that said almost $10 had been deducted from my account for GrubSouth. Now why would that happen🤔 since I tipped in cash. Well the customer service hours are limited so I’ll have to wait to get a resolution. This was my first and LAST time using this service.

Apparently they have 0-1 drivers in our area (The Shoals). Ordered food over an hour and half ago and still no driver has been assigned. Restaurant says the food has been sitting out over an hour, ready for pickup. App says food is still being prepared. The restaurant is less than 2 miles away. I have Covid or I would have picked up myself. The “Contact Us” options on the app don’t work.
