Functions
The idea behind the application is to help gymnasts and sports professionals through the process of development stages: plan, work, gather data, analyse and alter everyday work and re-approach appropriately.
Step 1 – Registration
Step 2 – Invite your gymnasts and coaches
Step 3 – Create Training plans
In this section you can add your gymnasts or groups and create -if needed– or add skills, routines. By adding them, you complete the creation of apparatus trainings which automatically leads to the creation of trainings. This procedure ends with addition of those trainings to the calendar.
Important: during the creation of the routines, the application gives you ‘Difficulty scores’ and feedback, based on the rule applied by the user. E.g.: special requirements missing or duplicated skill.
Step 4 – Keep the trainings
This function lets the gymnasts and coaches to easily input the results of practiced skills, routines. Values which can be given are related to result (successful or not) and the environment within the apparatus work is being carried out. E.g.: into the pit, competition environment or with the coach’s help.
If the training is for the whole group, the function gives the user option to easily switch between the members of group, apparatuses and skills within the particular training. Thus, providing a quick solution during training between two goes.
Important: the screen where the performed routine can be assessed provides option to input ‘execution score’ (remember, D score has already been given automatically), environment details and in case the routine was not successful, for statistical reasons, the user is able to mark which skill was failed.
Step 5 – Statistics
Once the trainings are finished, next step is to check the statistics. It can be read in the matter of seconds regardless how long period of time is taken into account. E.g.: during the final stretching at the end of the training, the coach can immediately see who did what with percentage rates and diagrams.
This is a simpler way to see gymnasts’ number of goes, successful goes, percentages, environmental factors to see the process of learning an element. Athletes and groups can be compared with each other.
There is another solution if somebody wishes to go way deeper in numbers and statistics: detailed statistics.
It shows amount, success rate and time spent. Can be analysed daily, weekly, monthly, periodically as average or aggregately. Chart-wise, those data can be graphically visualised as bar chart, line chart or table.
