As advertised, and better!
“We think before we speak” should be their motto. Lol, but seriously as a whole this app is so close to being “it”!
Only thing I wish, is that the team pages had access to more team info, articles, tweets or something just to establish more of a feed, but I will say the content it does post is not only trustworthy (unlike B/R) but more meaningful info, not to say it’s strictly sports based, but it’s not updating you what you’re coaches favorite candy is….
The feedback you get on posts, is not only more, but is usually more in depth not just attacking or telling you you’re wrong and I’m yet to see anyone be attacked or called any names which is refreshing!
I was invited from B/R and have been using Halftime almost a week now and have since pretty much forgotten B/R aside from a few notifications.
Make the switch, you won’t regret it seriously!!!

Great, So Far
I came from Discuss TheGame which was another app that was very similar to this. Unfortunately, that app went under, but I feel like a lot of what they had going on worked very well for them, and I would love for this app to adopt a lot of the things that made DTG so great, such as a web editor where we are able to add tables and pictures within the post and even a format option where we’re able to use bold words and italics and all of that. There is so much potential in this app, I can see it, I just hope that every update from here on out is pointed in the right direction it’s made easier for us to post articles and grow as writers while also still enjoying fun sports-related arguments. So far, this app is great, but there is so much more it can do, I know it.

Nice community, Nice app, But everyone there is pretty dumb
There are a few smart people here and the app is made pretty nicely, but the community here is at the first stage of the Dunning-Kruger effect. If you are looking for extremely intellectual sports/basketball content, Discuss The Game is probably your best bet. Although it doesn't have live score updates like Halftime, there are chats, extremely smart individuals, easy to move around in the app, it has a website with an web-editor to make much more high-quality article, and the community on DTG is the nicest, most welcoming community I have ever been a part of. Cannot totally say the same for the Halftime community. A lot of people are full of themselves, and are not welcoming to outside ideas. they promote bullying as well, and I've seen it secondhand. The community is what brings this nicely made app down. There is no real reason to get this app over Discuss The Game though, to be completely honest.

Great sports app!
Came here from Bleacher Report and was hoping for a much better experience and less toxic community, along with B/R banning everyone for no reason. So far, Halftime has met my expectations and more. I was extremely happy to see that most of the people on this app are intelligent when it comes to sports, and you can have real conversations with these people. The developers are very friendly and make sure that you are enjoying your experience, and this is just an all around great app!

The only review I’ll ever leave on the App Store
I’m taking the time to leave my comments regarding the Halftime app because I genuinely enjoy it. It can be compared to B/R, but it’s more of a community-centered basketball version. The live game chat is extremely easy to use and understand, and communicating with fans with similar interests is quiet enjoyable. I would give this app 5/5 stars, as I really cannot find a single flaw. I’m looking forward to the day when more people download and join the community.

Incredible - this app is a game changer!
Even though it’s so new, you can tell this platform is going to be special and change the industry. Halftime combines everything you love about user-generated content platforms with the personalization and community aspect of a major social platform. Plus you can follow your favorite teams and players and get all your news, highlights and discussion all in one place. It really is the only basketball app you need and a must-have for hardcore fans. I love it!

Great conversation app!
I recently joined this app from a guy who invited me from the B/R app and the difference in actual productive conversation and debating is UNMATCHED! I agree with you and look forward to anything I see coming on to this app because inside of groups of FB or B/R, most are just toxic and people trying to get reactions and on here, new to bball or not, people are here to debate converse and really help teach what the game is all about. I’ve already learned stuff I never knew since joining and I would consider myself a close follower of the NBA!

That is my answer to those who are wondering if halftime is the greatest sports app out there, YES. This app has become the most used on my phone, I am completely addicted. Halftime is full of knowledgeable fans who respect other’s opinions, unlike the other apps that are filled with toxic fans who don’t give a crap about anything, if you can even call them fans. This app is great!
I just joined a few days ago and I already feel like a part of the community. You can create your own polls and make your own posts. We need to get this app more popular so there are more people but so far I’m loving it! 4 stars just because it’s obviously a fairly new app and still has some things that could be improved. But I guarantee I’ll have to change it to 5 stars soon
