Description

You “can” achieve much more with the same effort and the right tools.

Handstand Quest is an app that lets you use your voice to track your handstands to make sure you are practicing regularly and see how you are improving over time.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

Whoever you are, if you’re interested in the art of movement, handstands will be there on your list of great things to achieve. You want to do it so you can improve, evolve, and conquer yourself!

Beyond the sense of achievement, handstands have direct short term benefits on the body and the mind:

- Improve Metabolism
- Boost your mood
- Perfect your core and balance
- Strengthen your bones and muscles

Also, if you do any on the following sports, handstands are very important when you want to practice at a more advanced level:

- Calisthenics
- Yoga
- Gymnastics
- Climbing
- Breakdance
- Acrobatics
- Crossfit
- Capoeira
- Bodyweight fitness
- Pole dancing
- Parkour
- Olympic diving
- Cheerleading
- Martial arts
- Skateboarding

WHAT IS YOUR GOAL?

Depending on the current level, the general theme amongst people for handstand’s goal is to hold it in proper form from 10 seconds to 5 minutes. Identify a realistic goal and set it in the app to track your progress over time towards your goal.

SET A DAILY GOAL

Great, so you have a handstand hold goal, but how are you going to achieve it? You will need to have a plan and execute it. Regardless of what the plan is, you will need to practice consistently to achieve your goal.

The app can be really handy in helping you stay motivated to achieve your daily goal of practice. In addition to guiding you towards completing your daily minutes, the app shows you how you are doing day over day, a month from now, you have clarity on why you did not (or did) make progress. It will also remind you, at your preferred time of the day, that it’s time to practice your handstands, even for just 5 minutes, even if simply meditating about handstands.

TRACK AND MEASURE

How do you know you are improving if you cannot track and measure your progress? How were you doing last month compared to this month?

Thankfully, the app makes it very easy to track your handstand, using your voice. Not only will it help you with tracking your handstands, but also many other exercises that help you strengthen and build progression towards a better handstand.

FREE-STYLE IT OR FOLLOW A STRUCTURED PROGRAM
The app offers pre-built workouts and programs to help you learn and progress gradually towards your handstand goal.

You could also create your own custom workouts or practice one exercise at a time, in prilepin mode.

RECORD, SHARE AND STAY MOTIVATED

Get your friends to hold you accountable. It’s a great way to get feedback on your development and that nudge when you need it. One way the app can help you here is via the share feature and ability to record videos per exercise with timer overlay.

APPLE HEALTH & SIRI INTEGRATION
You can launch the app and automatically turn on voice commands by saying: "Hey Siri, let's handstand!"

If you give permission, your handstand workouts will now show in Apple Health app, for each exercise interval, total workout time and total workout calories.

CONCLUSION
We hope the app will have a real measurable impact on improving your handstands. This app has been built based on feedback from the ground up, so if you have anything to share with us, please use the "Give Feedback" menu in the app. We will take your opinion very seriously.

Mattimclellan11,
Great way to reach goals
Three weeks after I started practicing handstands, I was able to do a 15 second handstand with the assistance of this app. I’m a fairly quick study when I put my mind (and body) to it, so I will take some of the credit, but the workouts and warmups found in the app were extremely helpful. Sure, you could probably get all the exercises for free somewhere, but the convenience of having them all in one place, and just being able to start a workout and have the app run you through it is great. Almost every time I use the app, I do the wrist flexibility workout. I can now do 30+ second handstands (sometimes) and still use the workouts and warmups to work on my flexibility, strength and endurance. If you have a handstand goal, this app will absolutely help get you started and keep you going.
banchankino,
Great app shows promise
So far I’m loving this, this handstand app seems to be the best among the ones I have tried. At the moment there are only 2 routine sections, but they seem to be well thought out and developed and as far as I can tell, currently free. Would love to see more routines (for instance, routines that help to correct for tight shoulder mobility that is the cause of “banana back”), or routines that explore different handstand shapes like tuck handstands. I’m excited to see what other stuff the developer has planned and willing to support with some In app purchase, but at the moment it’s not clear what they do.
hi 997521,
Very good app!
I love this app so much! You would be surprised how much it has helped me. I have gone from only being able to hold a handstand for only half of a second to being able to hold it for 7-10 seconds. One improvement I would suggest would be where the app could have challenges, and you could post pics of you completing the challenge. Sort of like a community challenge page. Thank you so much for making this helpful app!
Faten Mokled,
Works great!
I love how easy it is to use this app to track my handstands!! No more manual pressing on timer and logging in a spreadsheet. Now, with my voice, I can track my handstands and other exercises and see how I am improving over time.

It would be great if you can add more exercises and statistics on how time is spread out across exercises. Also, there is value in adding workouts and programs (with progressions stages).
The BDub,
Great Handstand AND Work Out App!
Not only does this app help in learning how to do a handstand, there is a fantastic workout component too. The Prilepin Workouts part is very cool. It’s like a built in self-test to measure exactly where you’re at in terms of several exercises, then takes the results to give you a customized routine. Highly recommended!
KashLadoux,
Great and easy to use!
This App has great preprogrammed workouts. It also allows you to create your own workouts. Easy to use with voice commands for stop and start. This App is a great place to start or reinforce your workouts.
scampthevamp,
Almost perfect
This has become my go-to body weight workout app. It would be perfect if the audio from apps like Apple Music wasn’t affected when the microphone feature is turned on, and if the tempo for repetition exercises could be more accessibly adjusted (or if you could use the microphone to count the reps yourself).
Sara Farhat 13,
Great for tracking progress!
I like this app because it helps me track my progress in certain exercises (plank, headstand, wheel). The nice thing about it is that I can track hands-free through voice commands.
#dragonwhelp,
Please Read!!
This is such an amazing app I’m a gymnast and my handstand was really holding me back. Then I was looking at apps and saw this one and tried it out. In 2 weeks my handstand had improved by like 7 seconds😁😁 TY!!!!!!!!!
Marian Bassis,
Massive effect on general fitness
It’s a unique app that is simple and has a humongous effect on my general fitness and also improved my performance in yoga and gymnasium . I love it !
