Hatched is the free dating app for people looking for a meaningful and authentic way to connect and find love. Your personality – and not your pictures -- determine your matches using an interactive and fun experience unlike anything you’ve experienced before when it comes to online dating. Match meaningfully and download Hatched today.
INNOVATING MATCHMAKING
Here’s how it works:
1) Users choose an “Egg Avatar” from a library of options that represents one of their hobbies or interests (i.e., sports egg, shopping egg, etc.).
2) Users choose one profile photo to go behind their Egg Avatar. Up to five additional photos can be loaded for their matches to see upon hatching. They will also fill out bio details including name, age, location, what they’re looking for etc.
3) Users are matched with other eggs and see only their match's Egg Avatar along with surface level bio details.
4) Users then click the Hatched icon to reveal a multiple-choice personality, attitude, core value or lifestyle question (PAVL). These are pulled at random from a database of over 700 professionally generated multiple-choice questions.
5) Users select their answer. If their match selects the same answer, the bottom 25% of both the user and their match's egg will "hatch," revealing the bottom 25% of each other's photos.
6) Match answers to questions again to “hatch” 50%, then 75% and 100% of their photo.
7) After fully hatching, users will see their match's entire photo along with other pictures and complete bio details. Hatched then welcomes the new matches to chat within the app.
8) All eggs are saved into their “carton” where users can easily access all hatched matches.

Better than Bumble, Tinder, OKCupid
I’m a dating app guru. I’m serious, I’ve been on dating apps for 8 years and have tried every dating app that there is. Here are the reasons why Hatched is different and why I like them over other apps -Questions that are asked dive deeper into core values (things that are important in a relationship and marriage) instead of swiping based on what you “think someone might be”. It’s almost like Hatched is your dating best friend that sends you on a wonderful date, knowing that the person you’re going to meet is actually compatible with you. - The matches that you’re given are carefully selected in a way that allows you to have that “genuine back in the day- getting to know someone” feeling (90s babies will know). -They have safety features so that you’re not getting matches who are solely there to get swipes. They eliminate matches based on your answers which is incredibly important for things like finances/raising children/ questions about long term goals. -After using the app for three weeks it has helped me redeveloped what dating can be and realistically being able to find “the one” without feeling the dopamine of constant swiping - which is the reason why most dating apps don’t work.

This is a game changer!
As someone who has been single a good amount of my 20’s (29 now) I’ve tried the three “typical” dating apps - those being Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge. Each have their own spin on how to connect but they all share the same flaw: they are heavily focused on pictures and the visual aspect without giving a chance to see if true compatibility and personal matches can lead to romance. Hatched is the first and only app I’ve come across that addresses this issue by focusing on the inside rather than the outside. Before even seeing a glimpse of who I’m viewing we need to provide a likeminded answer to a question generated by the app. So by the time I can see someone’s entire profile we already have a number of matched answers, some compatibility, and a good ice breaker - perfect! I think with more time and development this could be a serious contender in the app dating market.

Dating Comfortably and Confidently!
With Hatched Dating, I am able to confidently and comfortably meet new people that accurately match what I am looking for. As a new and younger user of dating apps, Ive struggled to actually have a successful date on apps such as Tinder and Bumble. I always find myself facing insecurities over the concept of such a shallow and surface level matching process where I am rapidly judged off of appearance. With the main goal of getting to know someone’s personality, I feel way more comfortable actually going on a date with a Hatched match! The process of working through and unlocking personality traits is rewarding and more fun than just swiping on someone’s face that I have no intention of meeting. The clever graphics and design of the app are also so fun and engaging! I can’t wait to fill up my cartons!

Exceptional!
I’ve tried all the popular dating apps, however, since recently moving to Atlanta and downloading Hatched, I’ve been presently surprised by results of a personality-based app. Before using Hatched, I’d form opinions of a person I connected with on a dating app that heavily focused on their looks rather than their character, and I openly admit that these superficial opinions did me a disservice. With hatched, I can get to know an individual for who they are and not what they look like and that has served me well in making genuine and meaningful connections. I would highly recommend If you’re willingly to try something new and build deeper relationships, you should definitely try this app out!

Innovative concept with lots of potential
I’ve been using Hatched since they launched and have thoroughly been enjoying the refreshing personality based concept. It’s a super easy, fun and gamified way to meet someone, and it’s a really cool experience to see what you have common with certain people.
The app obviously isn’t perfect and there are a few bugs and product improvements needed but it’s been cool to see how quickly the Hatched team releases updates and it doesn’t go unnoticed how vastly improved the app is with each version release. I’m really excited to see what it’s in store for Hatched, I think they truly have limitless potential!

Several issues:
1. Not a broad enough user base in my area. 2. The “egg hatching” mechanic is over-complicated and confusing - why not a visual that literally brings the matches closer together? 3. And most importantly, every question I answered (about 10) was completely irrelevant to whether or not I’m potentially compatible with a person. Not a single one was actually about relationships. “Do I recommend books and movies to others?” “Do I like hiking or eating out?” How do these preferences predict compatibility? As a first fix, I’d recommend adding a comment field below each choice question to let the respondent elaborate. Then, when you egg on, you can see more explanation. Rarely are answers so cut and dry, and it’s psychologically unpleasant to know you answered “wrong”. Devs, I’m happy to help if you are interested. Always hopeful for a new, effective dating app!

Honest Review
As someone who has used Tinder and Bumble, the premise behind this app is something I have never seen in any of the other dating apps. It’s actually preferable to the others, because it promotes personality over looks.
The app does have some bugs, but what app doesn’t? The team at Hatched clearly take these reviews to heart and they try to make note of any issues we as users have with the app. I can’t wait to see where this app goes in the future.

Not ready for public
The developers likely had best of intentions to fix dating, but extremely poor platform and poor overall experience. Strongly recommend not to download for safety (and for everyone’s time).
First, there are bugs that do not allow you to “abandon” or “report” another user. Luckily, I did not have a bad experience, but someone needs to fix this ASAP or take the app down!
I only discovered this since it originally connected me with men in my area (I’m a straight guy only interested in females). Not sure how this happened, but was stuck with trying to get random connections off my profile. I tried to “abandon” any men who connected with me but could not. I even tried to “report” a profile since it kept appearing at the top of my queue, but this only crashed the app.
Lastly, yes we all agree that dating should be more than Tinder swipes. But spending days answering obituary questions does not help anyone. My answers would change based on the mood I’m in. I had several matches that got to “50%” then disappeared, likely wiser members of the opposite sex that saw this as a waste of time and deleted the app.
Fix the basic functions of the app and figure out what modern audiences need.

Doesn't even work
So everything was fine the first day, I had 3 people show(which I feel like 3 is too little), "eggs" as they're called, I answered all the questions and it said that was all and I need to wait until tomorrow for more eggs. Fine and dandy right? Well next day I get a notification saying there's a new "batch" of eggs, I click on the app, and there's no eggs, only a timer that's counting down till tomorrow. I'm a little peeved but that's okay, maybe I just forgot or the app glithced. It's now day 1am on 3, and the timer has just gone to 23 hours. No eggs. Nothing. So I get three people, none of which "hatched", and after 3 days I have 0 eggs. Don't waste your time with this. I only gave it 2 stars because thankfully it's free, and honestly I like the app interface, shame it doesn't work.

Changing the Game
This app is a genius new way of looking for that special someone. Love the personality-first concept that is presented in a fun, almost game-like format. The anticipation with each “hatch” of an egg with the idea of getting to know someone else a little better, has me fully engaged and ready for each new batch of eggs. If you’re looking for a dating app that is fun, different, and so much more stress free than the standard dating app, Hatched is the perfect app to give a spin!
