Hawkeye Access is controlled entirely using your eyes. Browse any website, hands-free, all through eye movements.

Using the TrueDepth camera, Hawkeye Access brings gaze control to iOS without the need for any additional hardware. Intuitive interaction methods make it simple to control the app using eye movements. For people with motor impairments, this makes browsing the web much easier.

Hawkeye Access works with any website. From Instagram to Google to Youtube, this opens up countless possibilities.

How it Works:

- The cursor shows where you’re looking on the screen.
- Just look at a button or link to highlight it.
- Select it by smiling, blinking, or holding your gaze.
- Scroll by looking at the edge of the device.
- Go back by looking at the left side of the device.
- Return to the home screen by looking at the bottom right corner of the device.
- Type out text using a keyboard (Only available on the iPad)
- Dictate searches and text fields.

Customizable:

- Adjust sensitivity.
- Pick selection mode.
- Configure timing.

For the best performance, use Hawkeye Access while sitting down and try to keep your head and device still.

Incubusflyguy,
Almost works completely
Take a breath, get over the “wow” factor as quick as possible because your eyes apparently do strange thing when excited. This has got massive potential. Hell, it’s already in its present form, a complete and total solution to self-driving cars with people going to sleep behind the wheel. Or as a driver assist in “regular” cars to protect people from sleepy drivers...and sometimes themselves. And the massive sizes of apps as of late....it’s utterly ridiculous. Notice that this EXTREMELY unique software that has the potential to be revolutionary (!!!) comes in UNDER 11MB.

Job well done guys and ladies. I only wish I was rich enough to buy the licensing rights to this. God. There is a FORTUNE to be made....IF it doesn’t piggyback to strongly off of the features already native in iOS.
FreekieGeekie,
Definitely innovative
I have seen Netflix working with something like this. I think it’s very intuitive and innovative. Definitely a technology that can help people with limited motor skills. The developers of this app just need to refund the functions of it a bit more, which I’m sure they are already doing as I am writing this. Very, very promising tech and I hope the develop and fine tune it’s function. It’ll definitely make waves once it’s perfected. Love the idea of this applications. Keep going people.
ItsJeffH,
Unbelievable!
I never thought I'd see the day where I could browse the web just by looking at my screen. This is an absolutely revolutionary idea that you guys have come up with and I am proud to be able to use and, as of now, review this extraordinary application. Obviously this technology won't be perfected for quite some time but as well as this application works now, I'm sure it won't be long before you can integrate this into the system settings of the newer iPhones even! Now THAT would be incredible. PLEASE keep the updates coming! I am so excited to see what features are yet to come! (P.S. if you are looking for beta testers, hint hint)
Godsprincess987,
Really
Okay for those who don’t have arms or feet I can see this working and go hose who have motor functioning ailments that causes arms to shake. but for people who have arms and legs I don’t see this working I just call it being lazy I only downloaded to write a review but this is sounds like an app that would be perfect for people who have disabilities but for the people who don’t have disabilities shame on you 😏🤨
Mikozor,
Work in progress
I loved the idea of using my phone with my eyes so I had to downlod the app! That’s why I gave three stars.
I didn’t use it for long but it was quite obvious that the app doesn’t work as good as it’s supposed to. Sure the cursor moved where I wanted it to move and it clicked the target with blinking my eyes but the moment I moved my phone a little from the position it was while calibrating it didn’t work properly anymore.
Fix the problem and it’s a five star app for sure!
Azistara,
Interesting concept
I like this concept of using your phone with only your eyes, but it still needs a lot of work. Sometimes, it’s hard to keep the cursor still and clicking around the page. Also, it sometimes gave me some eye strain after a few minutes of use. Definitely a great concept, but execution still needs some work.
TCF364506,
Cool but needs accuracy improvements.
It’s really cool that you can control your iPhone with just your eyes, but even after multiple calibration attempts it will jitter the cursor if I blink and it goes out of calibration or something because when I look at a context button the cursor doesn’t hover over it. Also during calibration it can be kind of hard not to blink, you almost need eye drops to do it.

TLDR; it needs better calibration.
modestmousefan,
Minor interaction bugs
This is a pretty great execution of a very cool idea - in good lighting and with the iPhone resting on a table this worked well. For someone with a disability this could be a game changer. That said, I got the app “stuck” in weird UI states (with an overlay where no button existed, or where the “pointer” was gone and wouldn’t come back after a microphone permission prompt), and those kind of killed the experience. A little polish and this will make a big difference in people’s lives.
whatric,
This app is so COOL!
I love this eye-tracking software, though some details are not so good so far. However, it’s a great start! Like the scenes in sci-fi movie.
When I was calibrating, I can’t choose the “smile to click” option. Every time I smile, the cursor comes down. It was frustrating. I don’t know if it’s a bug or just happens to me. Looking forward to your next version!
Patrickl27,
Awesome proof of concept, likely great for those with accessibility needs
It's a really cool proof of concept, great that it's provided completely for free, I'm sure it's great for those with motor disabilities. For those that do have full control of their limbs, it's interesting to experiment with, but ultimately more tiring than using the phone normally. I hope it continues improving, as it is rather difficult to control precisely right now.
