Existing App Users, Notice These Key Differences:
- Event tracking is not supported in the new apps at this time.
- The general behavior tracking workflow has been revised.
- You are now able to select multiple behaviors, and then initiate a scan or search to select a student.
- Once you have selected a student, you can confirm all of the behaviors and consequences to apply.
- A student's behavior history only shows the 200 most recent entries.

Login is broken
The app is fine once you’re in; it functions well enough and allows me to scan student barcodes for quick distribution of points.
Unfortunately I’ve been stuck unable to log in to the app for the past few weeks. When I load it up, the only thing that appears on screen is the blue wallpaper with no possible way to log in. The only remedy has been to uninstall/reinstall the app (and that’s becoming more trouble than it’s worth)

Terrible - does not sync, times out
We recently got the new hero and printers for our school. We have had nothing but trouble from getting them synced to our phones to daily use. The new printers did not come with the necessary drive to sync to the iPhone. And anytime i try to sync to the printer, it takes at least 5 min to get the Bluetooth connected. But if I stop printing for a minute, I have to go through the process all over - repeatedly restarting the app, Bluetooth, and the printer. Even after trying to fix the settings so it doesn’t time out, it continues to do so. And most recently, hero has deleted my account and I am unable to login. I can’t even get a new account because it says I already have one - even though it isn’t showing.
Overall - the app and the printer have been. Nothing but a headache all school year.
(Ps. The paper rolls are much smaller now also meaning you have to replace them more frequently). Would not recommend the application or printer.

Face ID fix
Not sure if the developer sees this or can fix this issue.
The Face ID acts like it wants to work, but never does. I’m required to type in a lengthy password each time I need to use the app. We need the app to be simple for teachers so they don’t have to take time out of their already busy schedule to utilize the good features this app has.
Please fix the Face ID so that teachers can easily login, entering student behaviors.

User Friendly
Much easier to select the desired track as well as scanning the student id (which works with iPhone...didn’t work for me on the old app) or easy look up by first of last name.
I wish this app would allow you to select an entire class to give points too for something such as all students being on time.

Broken App
A lot of educational software can be buggy, but Hero by Schoolmint takes the cake. When you first install the app, you can get into an infinite loop. Disabling touch/Face ID can help, but if you close the app, the login prompt won’t appear.
Schoolmint has the worst customer service in history. They don’t listen for understanding, the blame their problems on the user (told me that it was because I didn’t put in my password accurately), and just escalate the issue to the developers who do nothing.

This app is trash
If I could give this app a below zero, I would. Face recognition does not work, and at this point, I have reinstalled it more times than I care to count to get it to work correctly. I keep having to stop teaching to record tardies, ID violations, etc., because the app does not work, so I have to use my laptop rather than my phone and the scanning feature that is supposed to be available. GARBAGE!

this application bugs out post installation after around a week. (1/5)
ive re-installed this app twice now and both times i’ve been logged out after approximately a week and after logging into my account again, the UI is totally bugged. it doesn’t show me my student dashboard and i cannot do anything. this is a nice app for school but the performance issues this application has makes “hero” unusable.

App has to redownloaded daily
This app simply does not work. I have to redownload it daily and even then it typically stops working some time during the day. Customer help services are a joke at best, simply stating they got your ticket and then doing nothing to fix issues. Please do not waste your teacher’s time or school’s finances on this app or company.

Not Bad
It’s no Class Dojo but it’s approved by the district. I’m using on my iPad where it works well. Icons, though, would make it easier for students with similar names.
