Had a lot of fun playing it. It is like the original king’s bounty. The graphics style works well for phones. I appreciate how this is a real, polished game with no microtransactions or gatchas.
I saw the other reviews, so I thought I’d give some tips as I just won the game.
- Each creature home cycles though a couple different creatures every couple weeks. So don’t be surprised if it changes. But the one y out missed will be back later.
- More expensive creatures have a better value in terms of upkeep.
- in the early game, try to get a bunch of elves. If those aren’t available, archers will do. You can beat the little armies on your island with just peasants and elves without taking much damage.
- Capture as many castles as you can. Each one increase your weekly gold revenue. Look for castles with weaker armies. If you hold down your finger on something , like a castle, it will reveal what army is there.
- you don’t have to beat every enemy to win. All you have to do is beat some of those fast moving deathknights. Those will give you pieces to your map. Use the map to figure out where to dig and get the artifact. When you do so be sure to have a powerful army, because you will be immediately confronted.
- here’s a cheese technique. The revenue you get is the castle profits (plus artifact and estate skills if you have them) minus the cost of upkeep for your troops. However the upkeep is only calculated when the week ends. So if you want more gold, just stop by one of your captured castles and drop off all of your troops (except peasants) then click the day to skip to end of week and you will have high profits! Do this after you capture castles too for an extra bonus. Be sure to clear enemies next to the castle first in case they attack you while you only have peasants.
- the Druid attack animations are really cool. Plus the look like little gandalfs.
