Unfortunately I’m too cheap to buy the game elsewhere when it’s free via Netflix. This is an excellent rhythm game, but it’s bogged down by imprecise controls. The arrow buttons are situated at the left and rightmost edges of the screen and thus can be easy to miss. It’d be best if you could choose where to put those buttons on the screen for yourself, or if they were screen regions instead, but there are no control options like that. I probably miss inputs around 20% of the time which may not sound like a lot but it feels like all the time. Any missed input will usually lead to death, especially in later levels. Thankfully the game is actually quite forgiving with no game overs (at least from what I’ve encountered), and you don’t need to collect every single thing to progress. I definitely would NOT recommend this version to those that can’t enjoy something if they’re not striving for 100% completion, because you’d have to be insane to try and get it here. All that said, I’m still playing it through and really enjoying it because I love the Bit Trip games, and this is another great entry from that developer, with a really cool new approach to rhythm platforming, an awesome rendition of the League world especially coming from the Netflix show, and an amazing soundtrack. Just probably don’t play it here.
