Amazing app!
If I didn’t use this app to help make the monsters, I literally would not have even made monsters. I thought it was to hard but then I used the app after about 10 minutes I had already made 2 super awesome monsters, Terry & Hipster! But just so that you know, Terry is free but to buy the rest of the monsters you have to pay about $5.00. Other than that I would definitely recommend this app!

Times Out
I love this app. My daughter does too. The only problem I have, and it seems to be a big problem is that when using on an iPhone or iPad, it times out and you are returned to your phones Home Screen. When you go back into the app, you have to start from the very beginning, not where you left off. It’s very frustrating when you have little kids who are not fast or rushing to get the job done. I have to fast forward to get to the spot where we left off. This usually happens about 5 times or more per project. Something the developers should have taken into consideration.

Fun and accurate
This app is very fun to use, and they’re good at showing exactly how to make each character. I kind of wish they’d show how to mix colors to get lighter or darker ones, since most characters I’ve seen require additional colors. Nonetheless, this app is amazing and I would highly recommend it for your kids.

Too Quick drying, still linked to social media
As another reviewer said in September, this app still requires a social media account to access directions to something that was already purchased. No reason for this.
The clay itself dries far too quickly for a 4 year old who is just learning to roll, squish, and make a billion “cone” shapes. Also, this results in squished versions of the desired result, as squishing is the only way to get it to stick to itself properly.
Directions and fine motor skill requirements may be too lofty for “3 and up,” so play doh seems more appealing at this point....cheaper and produces same result.
A shame, as the concept is a good one.

My four and six year old absolutely love hey clay. The colors are amazing, the design is so well thought out, you can tell a lot of love went into this product. Please make more! We are gifting this to everyone we know ❤️❤️

Why buy
The apple is really nice but I don’t get why you have to buy the instructions it’s just like buying a remote control car but not knowing how to set it up because you have to buy the instructions when you already have the supplies, and they don’t tell you how to like mix the colors or how big to roll The balls for the caterpillar

Do you not get this app! So what happened was, my brother got this for Christmas and we got the app we downloaded it and we were so excited but then what happened was, it said that I had to download megabytes I forget how many but so I let it do that and then afterwords it just kicked me off the app and I went on it like three times again and it still kicked me off! So it’s not letting me use the app and me and my brother were really excited to use it and then out of nowhere we can’t use it. 😒☹️😑🙄

Needs work
The app has some really nice creative moments. Little bit tricky to figure out how to use it at first. My biggest issue is that you have to pay $4.99 to unlock the app after you buy the product. This seems like it should be wrapped into the cost of the product. Especially for something that is literally just for instructions.
Overall, I appreciate the production value. Seems fun and well-executed on certain levels.

Surprised and impressed
Not sure why others gave negative reviews. The app was super straightforward and well-designed. We were making animals in minutes, and they came out great.
