- One thing I did notice is that blocking someone doesnt work?
- Also, there is no block list so you cant even go to see who you’ve blocked/ unblock someone (if blocking them was an accident).
~ Example: it showed me my Facebook friends who are also on vina. I simply wanted to block one bc even tho I have her on Facebook I dont want her as my vina or for her to see me on there. I want NEW friends. So I blocked her (or so I thought) but when I go to the “add vinas” section on my profile SHE IS THERE under Facebook friends. I shouldn’t even be able to see her. I go to click on her profile to block her and my finger slips and I make her my VINA.. but no biggie I’ll just undo it, right? I go to her profile to block her and it gives me the option to..It will kick you off their profile like you’ve successfully blocked them but they are not really blocked. ~
- ALSO would be nice to see all the “Hey’s” you sent. To also have the option to take back our “hey” would be great too!

The personality quizzes use a lot of #girlboss language and aren’t clear about what you’re choosing. One question was forcing me to choose between “yass queen” and “slay” for affirmations and another assumed all options for travel were these big expensive places. I was misgendered constantly even after it asked me who I was. There’s no option to be okay with friends from any gender, but specifically there’s no option at all to be non-binary looking for other non-binary people. I was connected instantly to a group of 5 but only one person spoke beyond a hello and I wasn’t sure the other people were real. The app has a real millennial, rich girl, sad minimalist aesthetic but no questions or connections that mean anything. I felt like I was at a company party for an abusive #ladypower start-up. This app doesn’t really seem like it breeds the kind of community I’d be comfortable with, but honestly any women meeting up from this don’t seem like they’ll have very genuine connections either. Also, TERF vibes. Why only advertise to women and non-binary people and continue to call the non-binary people ladies? Why emphasize the female empowerment aspect over a woman’s personality? I’m all for my and your rights but at a certain point it feels like something else is going on.

First of all, the app is FREE. Don’t want to pay for the extra features? Don’t’! Nobody is making y’all! No wonder some of y’all don’t have friends you’re stubborn and ungrateful lol The developer of the app need to make their money too! I for one find the app very interesting. After downloading it last night I already matched with someone and we’ve been chatting. I feel like this app is brilliant and has soo much potential. You can plan dates, it even GIVES you IDEAS for dates, horoscopes and cute quizzes to take. Mind you, the. App. Is. Free. It’s also beautifully designed. Ive only dreamed of an app like this but never knew there was such a thing. One thing I will say is that it would be great if the app had more promotion like an add on Instagram, Facebook or even a commercial to get more people to use it. However so far I’m grateful and look forward to meeting new friends. Thank you developer for caring about us women that find it hard to make friends! You definitely took your time with this one 💕

Great app but some bugs to be worked out!!!
I love the idea of this app. Especally for the area I live in, it is super hard to meet people outside of your work circle. So, excited to start meeting new friends! However, at one point it said that I had 106 heys so I was so confused with why I only had like 3 matches. I started swiping right on almost everyone and only got like 3 more matches. Then I looked at my "Heys" and I only had 46, so something is super buggy with the app. As well, I got a message from someone inviting me to go to an arts & crafts fair but it seemed like it was about a week late as the fair was the weekend before. Then I responded to the person and have received nothing back. Please fix the bugs!!!!!
Also, I don’t like that I have to sign in after every update like it doesn’t remember me. I accidentally hit instagram to sign back in and it wouldn’t let me go back to sign in through Facebook. That is annoying. Please fix these things!

Has Potential Just Not Fully There Yet
I downloaded this app, but it seems confusing to use. I’ve done all the quizzes and tried to meet people, but it’s just not working for me. I’ve only gotten a few matches and I would say most of these profiles are inactive. I actually saw one of my friends being listed as in my area when I know she moved to another state a year ago, so the app isn’t keeping track of people’s locations. I also saw another girl who was here last year for an internship and moved away after that period. There’s also not enough pictures of the people so I don’t know if they are real or fake accounts. I’ve had on and off issues logging into my account. Also it seems like people on here just want to chat and aren’t interested in actually meeting up. I’ve talked to about 7 or 8 people and tried to get conversations going. I even said to multiple people I’m interested in meeting and they just say they are, then nothing really comes out of it when I actually ask to meet up. Disappointing app. Probably going to delete it soon.

Experience not great
I’m not having a great experience using this app. It runs smoothly, the quizzes are fun, but I have gone through a grand total of 10 profiles and that’s it. I’ve had the app for a week so far. No one uses it in my area. The one person who “liked” my profile apparently I didn’t like back but the only way to see their profile is to pay for VIP. Also only people who have iPhones can use this app so that probably cuts way down on people who might use the app. I’m hopeful but Bumble seems way more popular.
Edit: I finally met someone from the app! I think the problem is that Hey Vina! Really struggles with marketing and advertising. If I’m struggling to make friends then telling my “friends” about the app doesn’t really work. This app may benefit from investing in influencers.

Really wish you all would update the App
This app has a lot of potential. But there a few problems I have. This app is for WOMEN, and I’m seeing that there are a lot of shady profiles coming up on my feed. I think to avoid talking to creeps (men posing as women), maybe there can be a way you can verify yourself by taking a real photo. These suspicious accounts only have one photo or it looks like all the photos are screenshots that are from someone else. Also, I am not getting the notifications for my app when they are clearly turned on, I end up missing out on messages from other Vinas. I see that the developers haven’t had an update for this app I’m over 7 months. Not sure if they’re still working on it or not ? Other than that, I really love how the app lets you create meet up events and activities to meet other ladies in person. I hope to see more from this app

Poor App and Service
I love the concept behind this app, but the app itself and the service behind it is not acceptable for a paid subscription. The app crashes quite often and the ways of sorting out the types of people you see are very limited compared to similar platforms.
I’d tried the free trial they offered for VIP and it ended up rolling into the next paid month; however, despite being billed for the immediate month my VIP disappeared after the free trial ended and when I contacted support, we went through several days of them telling me to basically hit the refresh button (which never worked). I lost an entire week of the month I paid for, and they never even contacted me to tell me when the mistake was resolved. I just logged onto the app later to find I miraculously had VIP again.
The VIP subscription is not worth getting in current state. I’m actually surprised they are offering it to the general public for how unrefined it is.

Feels like making you purchase membership and collecting data is this apps goal
Downloaded this app because I’m a stay at home, work from home mom who lives in a rural place looking for some friends. Within 35 miles of me there were about 7 “matches.” I am in my mid-40s and none of these women were out of their 20s. I do have friends in their late 20s and early 30s but I’m really looking for a friend who is closer to me in life experience. It’s not necessarily the apps fault there wasn’t someone there, but it’s a downside I wanted to point out. The solution to that, according to the app, is to invite Your friends… but That’s why I’m here.
I wanted to edit my location because I felt it was too precise but the teleport button you’re supposed to use to change that did not work and there was nowhere in the settings that allowed it.
With no good matches and feeling a little exposed with the precise location and the picture, I wanted to delete my profile. Nowhere on the app does it allow it. So I sent an email waiting to hear how and that was 2 days ago, no response yet.
The day after I sent the email about deleting my account, I got a notification I had a match and to click this button to see who it is! When I did it took me to a page to pay for a membership before they’ll let me see who the match is.

So the concept is there. Meet other gals and find pals. Cute layout and easy to navigate. The downfall is that in order to see your “Heys” you have to pay. I have a suspicion that they withhold the other Heys for you to Hey back and get a Ditto in the algorithm. The first review is “hey be patient...” and there are others similarly written and can only guess those are fake reviews.
