Heya lets you place eggs in AR and leave a secret inside. In a similar fashion to an Easter egg hunt, users go to different locations to find these eggs and to reveal their secrets.
The idea behind Heya is to provide a new mean of communicating through virtual objects placed in a real world environment. A user goes to a certain location and places a virtual object, here in essence an egg, and leaves a secret message inside. Another user goes to that same location, opens that egg, smiles and leaves another message inside. Every user who has been at the location and who has opened that egg are now connected through a chat.
What to insert inside your egg? Here are just a few examples to get you started:
• Fortune cookies like quotes
• A picture or video taken at the scene
• Instructions for the location of a real physical object hidden nearby
• Coupons or gift cards to reward those who came to the location
• For someone special said in a very special way
• Get fancier and start organizing treasure hunts where one egg leads to the next.

Too many eggs? Clustering to the rescue. Now eggs in the same visual location are grouped together. Tap on a group (we like to call these nests) and the map zooms in showing you where each egg is located. Yeah!

We now have a much nicer looking egg with physically based materials, lighting, drop shadow and an overall neater shape. Yeah! After creating an egg you may also want to promote it. So we've added a tiny success banner after each egg drop. Tapping on it takes you to your standard sharing menu. Of course you can always share an egg directly by accessing its menu (standard share button or by long tapping on a pin). We hope you'll enjoy this update as much as we did.

Simple idea yet wonderfully executed
The idea is super simple: you place an egg and leave a secret inside. Other people go to the location to find your egg, open it to reveal its secret and then perhaps leaves another message inside. Simple but cool. This is also very well done in terms of UI/UX. One of the best AR apps out there One could also image how this app could grow. Would love to see creatures which we could breed like in Pokemon Go.

This app has a LOT of potential
I am giving 4-5 stars for this app because I think this kind of concept can be taken very far. At the moment one can insert a text, a photo or record a video but one can see that the app could be extended to support many other types of media. In fact, I think it could be possible to re-invent Pokemon Go haha.

Innovative and well done
This app is one of best app in the augmented reality category, and believe I tried many. It starts with a simple idea: place an egg for anyone who is at the location to pickup, open and see what’s inside. Then the people who open that particular egg could leave other messages inside and a conversation follows.

NEEDS UPDATE PLEASE!!
This game seems so fun but I can’t even log in and create an account. I don’t have Facebook and don’t want to create one just for this, but I’d love to use the app. Created a WhatsApp just to log in and play with during quarantine with my family and it keeps giving an error message, so I created a WhatsApp for nothing. Please update it and make it so people can play it without jumping through the hoops. Maybe signup via a google account or just create an account using an email.

Amazing app
My family doesn’t like it when I play video games and they want me to be active. So when I found this app it was perfect because it’s promoting people to go outside more which I think is important. But also it is a very fun app with things to do and explore was the perfect fit for me.

Nice app
Very easy and fun, just place an egg and a message in it for the other person to read it when they read your message, they are connected to a chat where you can have endless fun talking to them. I am so impressed with the idea behind this app.

Used it once and got addicted
I installed this app yesterday and I have been using this app like Pokemon-GO. I have walked miles to search for an egg and I am glad that I found something that was worth the miles I went. You should definitely try this app.

Nice app
