HighStereo - MP3 Music Player Hack 4.5 + Redeem Codes

I’ve tried at least a dozen internet radio and DNLA apps and this is the one I use the most. Pros: 1) ability to manually enter stations by IP address. 2) Equalizer!!! Free!!! Not only can this be applied to internet stations, but also to the music on your device, and music streamed over a home network; AND it works when sending to Bluetooth devices. I don’t know of any other app that does that. Plus, multiple memories for equalizer settings. I have separate settings for my wired headphones, wireless headphones, earbuds, and Bluetooth speaker. Cons: 1) limited search function for internet stations. 2) No online account to save your list of favorite stations. When installing the app on my iPad, I had to painstakingly manually re-enter a long list of IP addresses. This was really aggravating in a previous version of the app that would lock up on certain stations found on the built in search function, requiring force closing then re-installing the app, loosing all the stations. Fortunately the current version has been stable. My one request is for a way to export your station list to use when installing on another device
ps. On and off the app asks you to write a comment, blocking you from accessing your station list. Even though I upgraded to the paid version, and sent a comment, it is still doing this. So downgrade 1 Star.

This is a great app once you use the “pay model”. This gets rid of annoying adverts etc. the app, itself, gives the appearance of an actual radio playing front. You can use the apps station selection and/or play your own files or links. The pay version is cheap and it also has a very good built in equalizer. This app is very good.

Additional Review May 2020:

The latest version improves this app, if that is even possible. Now you can point it at a file/directory that contains your additional choices of URL’s, MP3’s, etc. I hardly listen to Sirius when mobile. I just stream this app. It’s various available streams are nothing to laugh at either. Can’t wait to see what else the developer adds to it. Well done bro !

First things first I love the 80's radio portion. The user interface could be a little more user friendly when it comes to finding your downloaded songs to be played. The selection of add-on sound effects could be little more other than just nature sound effects. With this being said I purchased the product. After you purchase the product you keep being asked to review it before you can open the Equalizer. This can be annoying hence the forced review here. I don't like being made to review a product in order to avoid a popup review prompt every time I want to use the equalizer especially after I paid for the product. Hopefully now I won't have any more pop-up reviews to do. In all I found the quality to be better than the average equalizers apps in the App store. Plus if you Bluetooth your phone to your stereo or portable speaker the music that comes out sounds amazing. You won't regret it. I found it to be inexpensive. I just wish that it was a little more user friendly.

Controls are not very intuitive- e.g. finding where to add an additional radio station isnt particularly easy to find. Actually adding a station is challenging- not just because the controls are difficult to decipher- but because you're basically on your own to find a url that will properly work; this quickly becomes onerous.

In addition, a few stations seem 'fuzzy' with background noise, which is strange for digital signals. This may be because the urls that work are lower quality- but there's no way to find that out, because (per above), you're completely on your own finding a url that works.

Controls sometimes seem held hostage to the 'vintage' look of the app- and there's no documentation to be found to explain where things really are.

Was looking for a “basic” player/eq app. This blew me away! Not only does it have preset stations already set up for ya, but you can search other stations as well. Many genres from soup to nuts! To add more about this app, you can play your files as well. Play from your cloud or the devices you have also. Although I haven’t tried it. But I was looking again, for a “basic” player with eq. I’ll probably not use its full potential trial as again, I was looking for basic. Got more than I had expected as well as more than I paid for! Everything in the App Store wants bucks get month or yearly use. I could care less. Thank you for making this s app.

Equalizer is great and allows for multiple saved profiles. Nice to have radio and library play in a single app! The front panel display should show the current playlist and shuffle on/off indicator along with the song/file now playing. Like the “receiver” panel look but it could use a large volume knob by changing the “input” knob to a small slide switch and shrinking the tone control knobs by half. That would be in keeping with retro receivers, integrated amps, and pre-amps that had LARGE volume knobs compared to tone controls. Keep up the great work!

Adding that the random play option seems to apply to the entire library only. I would that it could be applied locally within any given play list.

I am looking for an app that will play local files on my phone or from icloud via a playlist. for reasons, they can not be mixed into my itunes library. I had high hopes for this app. I had to concede and use dropbox rather than local or icloud storage, but that was fine. Except if i close the app, the app stops playback at the end of the current file and starts rapidly switching between files. I think it loses the dropbox connection when not in focus.

I think that’s more an apple issue though. i synced files with itunes and now it seems to be working well.

But, please fix the iPad version.

Response for developer: the problem I have with the iPad version is mainly when I try to play my own music. What happens is, I click on an album or song, and it doesn't play but it also shows all my songs are the same song. In other words, I have maybe 20-30 songs saved on my phone. But I can't play them on the iPad version. When I select the song, nothing happens. And it shows that every single song is the same song. But, the iPhone version works perfectly. If you need more information I can try to send you screen shots.

Well I gotta say, I deleted this app cause I couldn’t figure it out. Well curiosity got the best of me so I reinstalled it. After doing so and I took the time to figure it out, I absolutely love it so much I went and purchased it to remove the ads at the top. I test played my music thru this app and the iphone installed Apple app from factory. HighStereo blows it away. I’m glad I gave it a chance. I love the old school stereo look and also the joy of changing the colors on the player. I highly recommend it to all you IPhone users. Thanks to the developers for creating this fun player. 😜🤘🤘

Version 3.0 has a few things going on that I can't seem to remedy. I'm using an iPad 3, which is incapable of upgrading to ios 11.
Perhaps that's why I:
(1) Can no longer connect to Dropbox
(2) Can not find a way to pay so the very annoying streaming advertisements go away.
This is a nice program. Improvements I would like to see, such as increased options in accessing network servers (local and web-based) has not been forthcoming. They've done a nice job of contracting advertisers, however.

Update: I was contacted directly by Neointro, and am extremely pleased with their continued efforts at making HighStereo one of the best programs in the entire App Store. There is an easy way to purchase, or re-purchase (as was my case - for $0) the program. The Dropbox issue is unique to my particular situation, and is presently being studied. Thanks, Neointro, nice job!
