Introducing in-home Spirometry! Now, the Connex App has the ability to connect to the Bluetooth® - enabled Smart One® Spirometer, allowing you to perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs) at home. It’s a simple, smart way to help you feel your best and get the most out of every day. With the Smart One spirometer, you can see your lung function results over time along with your airway clearance therapy data. You can also share results and discuss with your doctor.
Smart One® Spirometer is intended for home use by patients to monitor PEF (Peak Expiratory Flow) and FEV1 (Forced Expiratory Volume in one second). You can perform the PFT at home with the in-app PFT using Smart One Spirometer. The data is transmitted automatically from the spirometer to the App through Bluetooth® wireless technology. To order the spirometer contact Hillrom Customer Service (1-800-426-4224 or [email protected]).

Needs attention
I’m not sure whether the issue is with the app or the Bluetooth capability of the unit, but the syncing function is hit or miss. I’ve spoken with a developer twice who indicated they’re not sure what the issue is and suggested pairing/unpairing, which doesn’t help. It’s unrealistic to expect someone to sit by the machine for hours after treatment, refreshing the app so it doesn’t sign out l, and hope that data will transmit. Certainly not the quality that should be provided given what they charge for the machines.

Hilrom connect
I can’t get the system to sync, I use it 2 times a day and it shows I’ve used it twice when I’ve used it 8 times. When it does pair it stops every 40 seconds and then starts up ? It makes it look like I’m not using the device. I am coughing up more junk than ever. I have worked with your people and the I phone will not connect. We have deleted the app reset the phone and entered the pairing number it still won’t pair

Helpful, but please improve it
This app is good to keep track of sessions, but the actual sync is hours after your session. The ‘score’ system - meant to encourage consistency of treatments - is ridiculous. My son does three days with all his treatment time, and the score goes down.

Issues with syncing and using the app
I wasn’t able to find a better way to report issues with the app besides leaving a review. Mine has problems syncing. I keep having to delete the app and sync again and again. It also changed my time zone, sends me an error stating my time zone is incorrect, but will also give me an error when I attempt to login to edit my profile. I’m a new user so I never used the app on previous iOS versions.

Data syncing
I like the concept. But I’m having issues getting sessions to show up. It will say it’s connected to mobile every time I use the device, but it hasn’t connected to the server since I first paired the Bluetooth with it, and has only shown a few sessions. I have five days that won’t show up for some reason 😪

Frustrating and poor quality
This app is meant to be a great tool and it would be IF it ever syncs correctly consistently and if it wasn’t constantly acting up and not allowing me to log on to it. Thankfully our pulmonologist knows of the poor history of syncing and is great about assuring us to keep going and not pay attention to if it syncs or not.

Great concept, poor execution
App and machine don’t stay paired, giving alerts to re-pair each session. Each time opening app get alert that time zone is wrong and after trying to fix 20x I have given up. Machine already logs hours utilized so unless the app has some major updates it’s pretty useless

Won’t connect to server
I use the machine 4x a day for 20 minutes for my twins and the first 2 days it worked great but now I can not sign into to the app to collect the data. Machine works great- but I can not say the same about the app.

Could be good.
It’s nice to be able to track sessions but it’s usually a day behind. It’s disappointing to see score decreasing when sessions have been made. Even when the data syncs the score doesn’t improve.

Sync issues
I use this app twice a day, and it’s inability to sync infuriates me. I should not have to delete and reinstall the app, nor should I have to disconnect and reconnect the Bluetooth on a daily basis. Very poor performing app.
