Japanese Nana Marchan, Age 82, makeｓ dolls game for the elderly people and people interested in the Japanese Traditional Culture.
Hinadan decorate on Hinamatsuri, which means Hina(Chick-Baby Bird) Festival, also called Girls' Day, a special day in Japan.
Hinadan is a special step-altar on which to arrange their Emperor and Empress dolls and court nobles from the Heian period (A.D. 794-1185.)
Hinamatsuri is celebrated each year on March 3.
Hina Dolls are made for the substitute of sick body of young children in the old days.
Later, during the Edo period, the technique of doll makers improved dramatically. Daimyo(Regional Lord) and wealthy merchants ordered Gorgeous Hinadan Dolls for their daughters as a special gift for their wedding.
Now many Japanese parents, and grandparents are happy to give a Hina Doll for their daughter and granddaughter to wish her happiness and health for her first HinaMatsuri in Japan.

You will see the name of the doll.
Then you have to put the doll in the right place on the step-altar. That is the rule.
When you put the doll in the right place, you can hear the sound of a traditional Japanese Drum, “Pong”.
The doll changes in the seat. But if you choose the wrong place, you hear the sound of “Boo”.
The seat does not change to accomodate the doll.
Please try again until you find the right seat for the doll.
After you placed all dolls on the Hinadan, you will go to the last page of the Hinadan.
Finally, you will be successful, and everyone can complete the setting of the Hinadan Dolls

Great Work
I couldn't believe this app is developed by an 82-year-old lady, the game itself is just amazing. All good aspects aside, there is a bug in the app which I don't know whether Ms Wakamiya have time to fix it.
when you choose a character(expect天皇) and put it in the right place, tap that same character in the right place for another 11 times, the game just end successfully where it shouldn't.
Expect this bug, the rest are just amazing.
Ms Wakamiya has given me so much strength as a new developer for iOS, may you live a health and long life.

She was featured on an Instagram mini doc. Learned coding at 82. It’s just a little app, give you a minute of pleasure, but it’s like your 82 year old Japanese grandmother gave you a beautifully wrapped plum on a special holiday, and taught you about how that holiday is celebrated. If this doesn’t make you tear up, you aren’t human. Let’s all download this game and thank her for the gift! You wouldn’t turn down a gift from grandmother would you?

I love the game so much I love learning about Japanese history and I love it all because of you Japanese history is the most interesting history in the world in my opinion I wish you could learn about our history to it’s just as interesting

Just saw the story on CNN
Just saw this news on CNN app and I was very happy this game created by 81 year old lonely woman. This story gives us lots of inspirations as how we approach life even though it gets harder and harder sometimes. Thank you for being an inspiration!!!

Easy to play and fun. I saw Hinadan many times in the movie, but do not quit understand the culture behind it, although I do not understand the Language in this game, it make me feel the Hinadan culture

Saw The Story On Great Big Story
I found the story so inspiring and I just had to download the app to see it. I give it 4 stars because there is just one bug that is slightly annoying and that is that selecting a doll is sometimes hard to do.

I love that this app was created by an 82 year old woman!! I have a Hina Matsuri doll set that my mom always set up for girls’ day but now that she has dementia, that task is mine. This is a fun way to remember how to set up this annual ceremonial event : )
