Works perfectly.
Wish I had more varied alarm options or a default event time setting. I love being able to export the holidays I'm interested in to my daily working calendar and ONLY those holidays. I export my menu app MealBoard to my working calendar and voilà banana cream pie on banana cream pie day. Fun for mom with hobby time managing house with stressed students who have no time but can join in on Talk Like a Pirate Day. Love the export function that lets you edit the holiday making it more terse before exporting it. Feel like splurging on Tempura Shrimp for the family supper? Wait. Is there a holiday for that coming up soon? Just use the search function and find out. I export my selected holidays as yearly repeats with 1 week alarms. Next year I can expand to pick up more or celebrate a different subset of the holidays. On chocolate mint day we had Girl Scout thin mints. Good timing Girl Scouts. It's guilt free dessert eating you plan for with lighter meals. Artichoke Heart Day? Crabmeat Day? Make an old or new recipe to fit it and put the holiday on the family calendar so they all see it and ask if we're eating that. This app is worth the money to be able to flawlessly export pick and choose holidays so they all don't clutter up your calendar. Plus the search function is a must and it works great.

Wow, just wow! This app Holiday Today, it one of the best app s ever! It’s correct, it has variety, and it’s even kinda fun!
This summer, I was looking for stuff to do. I just got out of school and I’m really board, right? I thought it would be fun to celebrate the holiday every day. I didn’t have the app yet, nor know what it was. So I tried using Siri to find the national day to everything; I also feared that there wasn’t going to be a national day for a few days.
Then, I went one day to check if I had any messages from my phone. My mother had left me a link from App Store, you guest it! Holiday Today was there waiting for me.
I decided to download it because I thought it would be a good way to check if there was a holiday. But there was more then just a holiday, THERE WHERE AT LEAST FIVE! And when I tapped on the holiday when I didn’t know about it, it told me ALL ABOUT THE HOLIDAY!
That’s how it works, there is one holiday free each day, you have to purchase the rest. But I think it’s a great deal, ITS A $3.99 ONE TIME CHARGE! You can share the holiday with your friends! And it has a calendar in the app if you have something on that day! You can even synchronize it with YOUR CALENDAR!
It’s very correct too, the true national days are in the app too (I’m not saying there holidays are untrue, their fun).
This app is my life, because it’s every day, in an app. Get Holiday Today!

Excellent option to replace Apple’s default PC holidays. Choose your own.
It took a couple (fun) hours to go through the holidays list to pick out the traditional ones & quickly add them to Apple’s Calendar app. I put them on the family calendar from my iPhone and set each holiday to repeat annually - trying to be careful to use custom settings where “days of week” was necessary. Since I have calendar on iCloud, it instantly synced to all the family devices. Just chuckle & smirk past all the “non-traditional” holidays & counter-protest holidays. This is a very intuitive user interface - kudos to the programmers! They thought of almost everything needed to customize your holiday choice. My 2 cents for improvements: 1) Change “Show As” default to “free” instead of “busy” on the add holiday to Calendar. 2) Allow a search by category in list view - it takes a while to peruse the whole list.

Great customer support. Fun holidays for homeschool ideas
I noticed a holiday was off and sent an email about it. Then I noticed one was missing. Within like an hour they had responded, they had already sent an update out to fix the one issue and agreed they should address the missing holiday.
Beyond that, I find this app a fun way to amp up the homeschooling experience. Give you multiple holidays a day to celebrate. Stupid easy to share them with your aunt if the mood hits you.
Bonus : I have visual issues, especially with lists, and the way this is all colored and formatted is easy on my eyes.

I have used this app for over a year. Enjoy the layout and the information provided.
Once, I found an odd national holiday that was missed. When I sent off an email to the developers, I received a quick reply acknowledging the omission. After a thank you, the developers added the holiday on the next update. These folks do not ignore their customers.
I saw one criticism of the app that historical dates along with helpful links for more information would be a nice addition. While I enjoy th “This day in history...” information, I hope the developers do not go down that path. There are many other apps that do history quite well. For me this app should simply focus on the weird and not so weird days and national holidays. Many entries have a link. That’s fine, but I’m not going to research each entry.
So, I believe the developers are doing a splendid job. Just what I wanted from the app when I purchased it.

This App is amazing, it makes my days so much more exciting and fun! I love to use it and see how people react when I’m in action. Following this holiday application it’s a very creative way to go about your days and when i upgrades to the full version i get more information of why I follow that holiday, getting an I cream you never taste before makes your life much more interesting! I highly recommend this app just because it’s really awesome!

The app is easy and straightforward. I enjoy the font as well. The skeleton is perfect. But the content leaves me wishing for more.
I was hoping to see a little more history and maybe links to external sites notating more inclusive details for those of us who are a bit more curious with the traditional holidays.
There’s more background information given for a Pet Theft Awareness Day than Valentine’s Day. The reason given for the origins of Valentine’s Day is also inaccurate. And in looking at tomorrow’s holidays, it shows S.A.D. Being celebrated on the 15th of February but doesn’t specify in which country, as S.A.D. has two different dates it’s celebrated, depending on where you reside.
Hope to see some updates in the future. Thanks!

I never really write reviews, but I wanted to for this app. I had been using the free version for some time now and absolutely loved it. I loved it so much I actually upgraded for the one time payment of $2.99 to see all of the holidays for a day, and I don’t regret it at all! Great stuff, and great work by the creators of this app!

First off, I paid for the app because I believe in helping folks build interesting/useful apps. This app is a great example of one that is interesting but unfortunately not useful.
While I love the wide selection of holidays they’ve included, a vast number of them are simply incorrect. I’ve found I need to cross-reference every holiday on the app with a Google search to make sure they’re accurate. For example, the app lists Frankenstein Day as Oct 29th. It’s actually on August 30th, which is Mary Shelley’s birthday.
Further, the app won’t let me leave reviews because its interface with the App Store does not function well. I was forced to leave the app and use the App Store to write this review.
I regret spending the money on this app, but at least it looks nice and it gives me ideas for holidays to search on Google. If only the in-app results were accurate.

Decent App
This app shows many national holidays through a wide variety of days. Some holidays are not accurate which makes me feel as if i should double check the date. Also, you have to pay to learn about historic holidays which i feel is a little over the top. I would recommend to those who want to see holidays without any background knowledge. If you want to learn about holidays, this app is not for you.
