Use this app to learn about the Holocaust, to encounter its survivors, to prepare for, enhance, recall, reflect upon and deepen your visit – whether directly or remotely – to the Holocaust Memorial of Miami Beach.

As you explore this iconic Holocaust Memorial and some of the most essential elements of Holocaust history, the app uses iBeacon triggers to automatically plays video and audio selections that complement and personalize the Memorial’s historical displays and sculptures. These media elements prominently feature the voices and recollections of local Miami based Holocaust survivors—making for an especially engaging and compelling experience. Further content includes slideshows, interactive maps, timelines, and additional audio and video.

The app also features a “Sculptor’s Tour,” led by the creator of the Memorial, Kenneth Treister. At each stop on the sculptor’s tour, you will hear directly from Mr. Treister about his inspiration and intention in designing this unique and powerful remembrance of the horrors of the Holocaust.
