Hunt-or-Haunt is an ABA (Asymmetric Battle Arena) game with an original mechanism inspired by "Freeze Tag".

Players play as either Master Soulers or Soul Keepers.

Master Soulers ("it") are invisible to Soul Keepers, their goal is to tag and transform Soul Keepers into “Evil Souls”, which would force the former Soul Keeper to join Master Soulers’ side.

Soul Keepers are those who dedicate themselves to hunting down Master Soulers, with two spells in their arsenal.
The “Protect” spell protects the tagged caster from being transformed into an Evil Soul, instead, they become invulnerable and frozen, remaining stationary at the location where they evoked this spell. The Protect spell also gives Soul Keepers a way to detect approaching Master Soulers.

The “Reveal” spell allows a Soul Keeper to expose all Master Soulers and Evil Souls within range and renders them vulnerable. This is the only way for a Soul Keeper to hunt and defeat their enemy.

Master Soulers win the game when all Soul Keepers are either tagged or frozen. Likewise, when all Master Soulers/Evil Souls are defeated, the victory belongs to Soul Keepers.
