Description

"Best App for Preschool Word Games" -- Best iPhone Apps book, O'Reilly Media

"An application that uses early childhood development theory — great!" -- Daniel Donahoo, GeekDad (Wired)

I See Ewe is an educational game for that helps your preschooler learn to recognize over 50 different shapes, objects, colors and animals, and exposes them to their first sight words. I See Ewe accomplishes this through two simple yet fun and engaging games.

The first game, "Learn Shapes", presents a child with a number of cards, each containing a different item. The game then verbally asks the child to find a specific item amongst the displayed cards while displaying the written form of the specific item's name. The child is successful when they tap on the card with the correct item.

The second game, "Match Shapes", is a memory match game that challenges the child to turn over cards two at a time to find a pair of matching cards.

You are able to adjust the level of difficulty for each game and activate verbal prompts that help your preschool child learn.

I See Ewe has English, German, Spanish and Chinese (Mandarin) languages localizations built in. You can select which language version you want to use in the game options view.

Be sure to visit the I See Ewe website for a detailed description of how to use the app with your preschool child.

Boredouttamyfknmind,
App developers need to update in order for me to use
Only after I purchased this app for my son, was I informed the developers need to update it to work with my Apple software version iPhone. I was charged yet I’m still unable to use this app. This sounds like information that should be displayed before a purchase goes through, and not only after a purchase has been made and charged.
Diokro,
Update to most recent iOS for iPhone
Please update this app for the newest iOS for iPhone so that I can use for speech therapy and work on identification of vocabulary. Thank you!
G Murdock,
1 YO Grandson Loves this
He is totally mesmerized by this app. When he just wants some quiet time we sit down and go through all the sounds of animals and vehicles.
Lovelaughter,
Please update
The kids absolutely loved this app when it worked. Can you please update it??

Good game for preschooler
My 1.5 year old grandson really likes this game and I do believe it is helping him to learn the names of the animals, colors, etc. I do have some suggestions for improvement, however. First, the voices that either state the success or failure of the choices are invariably female for success and male for failure. I don't think that is a good idea. Those voices should be randomized or, at least, more varied. Also. I would like to see more animal choices, presented with more variety- there is a great deal of repeat of the animals to choose from. This is fine for the really young ones but will get stale for them as they age- and is a little wearing on the supervising adult as well.

Overall, this is a good game, with good educational opportunity for a young preschooler and well worth the price.
The Nihilist,
Good for a wide range of ages
Just tried it out myself, and this will be great not only for teaching my one year old animal names and shape names, but also for helping my four year old as he learns to read (only because you can turn the voice prompts off). The 4yo loves matching games too, and I like that you can adjust the difficulty by changing how many cards are displayed. My little one will be able to start matching soon at the lowest level.

I'd like to see this also have more categories, like colors, numbers (with alpha spelling also), and everyday objects, etc. That would give it a lot more power in the way of sight teaching as well as reading. But it is already worth the dollar and works as advertised with no problems!
Dan the PIEman,
A little scarey?
I am trying VERY hard to find apps my two year old can play with. I've purchased quite a few and DO find yours to be quite entertaining. The spoken audio is a nice feature and I like that there are levels of difficulty. What I DON'T understand is why it seems that you've intentionally applied what can be best described as the sensation of electroshock therapy when you make a mistake. I am 43 years old and it scares the b'jeezus out of me every time. PLEASE add the option to turn the vibration feature off so I can share you're wonderful app with my toddler. BZZZZZ ..... (like the previous reviewer, I also find the crosses a bit creepy)
Lostinkc,
Wonderful
This is a very cool app for my little girl that just turned 4. The only thing I would change is in the matching game, no matter if you have tried a tile before or not, you get the "WRONG" type of male voice with a buzz (I know I can turn the buzz off). It shouldn't be so harsh if you haven't tried the tile before. Also, try and make the "WRONG" voice a little more friendly. I'm afraid my little Sophia will be scared when she hears it. She isn't used to such negative feedback! Those are the only two minor things I could see that could be improved. LOVE the difficulty levels.

I do like the other suggestions about adding numbers. lower/upper case letters would be good too, and more objects :)

A Great Tool for the 1 yr - 4 yr old
I bought this app for my 3 yr old who does really well with matching - all the different categoris
but we've been really surpised at my 1 1/2 yr old who does the learn an animal mode - with the direction of the narrator, you don't have to prompt your child, the game does it and rewards them with the sound and a "you did it, or good job or awesome"
Sometimes when I am in a long line I'll even do the matching game on the small scall of shapes or objects - it is a lot of fun!
And the price is right. This app is a must for boredom buster or ants in pants kids at a restaurant
