りんごが嫌い,
Great vocab trainer
This is a great app if you want quick vocab training on the go. It only has level N5 by default, but you can unlock all other levels for just $5, which is pretty good. The quiz layout is simple and easy to drill yourself with. There is one issue that keeps me from giving it five stars, however. It's that your mastery of words is not recorded separately for the three quiz types. For example, say I take the default quiz (japanese word with english multiple choice options) a few times and master a word in that quiz. That word is now also mastered in the kanji quizzes and the reversed vocab quiz (the one that gives an english word with japanese multiple choice options). Even if i have never studied that word reversed or studied its kanji, it will not appear in the other quiz types. I think it would be much more helpful if all three quiz sections were completely separate from each other, and i was forced to master every word in every category. Despite this, the app is still worth trying out and purchasing if you like it.
bilnit,
Quick, easy, perfect
I just love this little app. You get a lot of words for free, plus there are three modes. It doesn't have SRS or anything too fancy but your word familiarity is ranked by 0 to 3 stars so you get to "level up" your words.
Gaftin,
Good
Good practice but the pronunciation voice sound is not something you want to replicate or even pay attention to. The reverse mode is by far the best for studying. Wish there was a way to group words more easily than favorites.
jenikime,
Good for vocab
Good study tool for vocab but when using the quiz now, the forth option is cut off from selecting. Maybe it’s only for phones with larger screens? (Have an iPhone SE)
kooscheekie,
Not functional
Only three of the four multiple choice answers show up on my screen, must not be suitable for smaller phone screens. I have an iPhone SE.

The app works very well and it's easy to use. It's one of the better Japanese study apps I've used.
My only issues would be that I'd like to see the addition of settings that allow me to customize how and what I study. My only major issue with it is the multiple choice answers. Particularly in the Kanji mode, it is really easy to guess. I feel like I often get answers correct even if I don't know the answer. I prefer the system of guessing the answer in my mind, having the correct one shown to me, and then selecting how confident I was with the question.
Quiescentdawn,
I-Sokki
Excellent and appealing interface. Easy to use. However, the one gripe have is that at times I find myself able to cheat on the vocabulary. The reason for this -- if I see an unfamiliar verb, but 2 of the 4 possible answers are nouns, I now have a chance to get the answer correct without actually knowing it. Thus I loose the chance to really learn.

That being said, this is among the better apps I have found. Definitely worth the download.
marshall gerrald,
It has audio tracks!! :))
There are other great Japanese vocab learning apps but this is the only one I've found with an amazing interface, and it has native speakers speaking each word. It's so hard to find info on pitch in Japanese, and with this you won't have to worry. Just practice each word as you hear it, and it has all you need for any level of jlpt. Well worth it, better than Japanese flip even :-)
Tokyo bound,
Fun and helpful
Nice and easy way to quiz yourself and learn new vocab. There is a problem with longer words, however. They don't fit on the screen, so you have to guess at what it is on those somewhat rare occasions. These words also push the sound/play icon right on top of the kanji when viewing the list after each quiz, so you can't read the kanji. Please fix this and I'll update to 5 stars.
Melonmelody123,
It's good for vocabulary, but...
If you just want to expand your vocabulary then this is a good app however I wished there were themed grouping of testing, like one section would be food, the other be greetings, something like that. However the app does not provide much help in anything else. But I guess if you end up learning all the words you'll have a rough understanding of what a Japanese person is saying.
