Data loaded in IDV (IMAIOS DICOM Viewer) isn't uploaded on the network to ensure storage safety and security of personal health information of the patients (excluding use of sharing features).
IDV supports DICOM files of all types (ultrasound, scanner, MRI, PET, etc.) and offers several fast and intuitive tools such as scrolling, image manipulation and measurement.
It allows you to easily open any file stored on your device or accessible online for quick viewing whenever you want.
Completely free for personal and non-commercial use, IDV is also accessible in its online version on the website www.imaios.com.

Sets a standard!
I never knew what a dicom was until I had a surgery. That’s when I ran into this masterpiece of an app.
This app is a masterpiece, make no doubt about it:
• Butter Smooth (UX) user experience- tap this, to do that is elegantly designed and nothing is hassle to reach or do in this elegant app
• Human Designed UI - places the user interface where you need it, tucked out of the way, as if invisible… you won’t notice it as you click and tap on things, in other words.. when you open this app and use it for the first time, you won’t be confused hope to go about things…
• Importing full folders from your iCloud onto this app.. is effortless, and if you have multiple folders to import from a set, it remembers the last folder you imported, so you won’t forget your position, in other words… you’ll know which in s the next folder to import, from your set.
All in all, a wonderful experience when interacting and getting things done in this app. As a game designer for virtual reality, this is what I call a masterpiece in design & execution.
Thank you for this app, apple needs to do an editorial favorite with this one.

Works like a charm!
I’ve had a cd of s brain scan they did on me in 2012, and have been looking to find a way to read it ever since. I normally only give four stars, because every app could be improved/isn’t perfect (like people), but this app gets the 5th for being free, and giving me the opportunity to see files that I couldn’t open for 10 years. What a blast from the past. This looks like it could be really useful; Good job DEVs. One thing I would add is the ability to read the entire data block on the ‘studies’ page; For me, it gets clipped off/truncated.

12+ year old hardware
I had back surgery when I was 13 years old and I’ve seen many X-rays from before surgery but never got one after and just recently I unfortunately got a kidney stone and I asked for copy of them. I got it in a CD and in some kind of file that my friends computer couldn’t read. I just saw my hardware for the first time since I got it with this app. It wasn’t even that confusing to do. Thanks.

App is Free, Intuitive, and Useful - Except When It’s Broken
It seems new iPad updates breaks the viewers in some ways. I upgraded to an iPad Pro and tried to import DICOMs via Google Drive, and it’s stuck on the loading screen. I can’t figure out why

UPDATE: FIXED: IPAD software update and it no longer works.
** Bug has been fixed for the version 15.7. Now back to loving this app.
Updated by IPAD to IPadOS 15.7 today and the app no longer will open the image to view it. Just keeps spinning.

Great DICOM viewer!
This is a great DICOM viewer, allowing you to store and review Xrays and MRIs on your iPhone or iPad. It was one of the few free apps out there that allowed me to import files from cloud storage seamlessly. Highly recommend!

Love the app
Very easy to use and view mri scans i have been using it for a while it is the best so far compared to others. One issue though since the last update the cross-references disappear, i liked it better before the latest update.

Best Application for Reading MRI/CT Scans
This is the best application for reading MRI and CT scans that I’ve found for IOS apps. It has the capability to reference multiple series with lines marking the relations to the other series which I didn’t find in other apps and which is an essential feature.

Not working on iPad Pro with latest iOS
I downloaded the app to see my CT Scan and X-rays. I am able to import the DICOM files, but the the app gets stuck and even though the files are in the app, I can’t view them.
I tried a similar app in my laptop and worked flawlessly.
