iGurbani - A powerful Gurbani Search Engine that allows you to search the Sikh scriptures.
With the Grace of God the Akal Design team developed iGurbani with a new database from the ground up. The focus of this app is to allow the user to accurately read the shabads from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji following a revolutionary style of showing the vishraams. Instead of commas and other punctuation the vishraams are highlighed in a specific color.
PLEASE NOTE: Since the Gurmukhi is from a new source and the database has been rebuilt from the ground up there are some errors that we could not catch during development. We are going to rely on the Sangat to help us identify and correct those errors.

Have you experienced your favourites and history vanishing without any notice? We found an issue that wasn't discovered during testing and regret the situation.
Unfortunately there is no way to recover after they have been deleted. Our team is really sorry for the unfortunate bug and we believe the update has addressed this issue.
Coming soon will be the ability to save your favorites/history to the cloud so they can be restored from a back up if needed.
We hope for your forgiveness and thank you for your patience.

Great app, please add few more things
Thanks latest version is great with addition of all baanis in read section. You are doing great Sewa to the Sikh nation.
I am just lining missing features which will make this app even great in priority order.
1. Ability to do sehaj paath with option to resume from the last ang
2. Ability to have meanings in read view. e.g. I can read ਸਦੁ ਬਾਣੀ but to read the meanings I have to go to search view.

Latest update deleted all favorites
As much as I loved this app, the latest update really messed things up. All favorites were deleted after the update, and I’m not even able to import an old backup file anymore.
Additionally, when you’re viewing a shabad, you now have to scroll up to access the back button/menu bar. Previously, all you had to do was tap the screen anywhere once to bring up the menu bar. This small detail has made a big impact when using the app while doing keertan. You have to lose your place in a shabad in order to access the menu bar.
This is still my preferred iOS app for Gurbani search. But I wish the developer team would respond to feedback and address these kinds of issues.

Life changing app
Long time ago my friend(True Gursikh) gave me this wonderful encyclopedia app to improve my life. Before this app if I have to see a Shabad or a meaning of a Shabad, either I have to bother my mother(she is old) or I have to go to Gurudwara sahib. Now everything is ok and is inside my reach👍👍🙏🙏

Thank you for this great sevaa! If possible, it will be nice to have options for font colors, especially for the pause words... which appear a bit subdued for old or partially color-blind eyes. Due to the dark background (which is nice), maybe yellow is a good option for the pause words?

The best app for Gurbani Search
This is the best app for Gurbani Search I used so far.
This app used to have Bhagat Jaswant Singh's Santhiya option but in the recent version, that is removed. I really miss that. I hope the developers will restore that in the next version.

Searching by writing shabads
Searching is real difficult. The app gives a hard time when it comes to searching shabads and the searching categories except the Ang option.. please sort this problem🙏ehdi searching sudhaar lao baenti aa mai ta dukhi ho jaanda shabad search krda krda bout tang krdi aa searching ehdi

Please have the Shabad option in Hindi also, like in English and Punjabi. Meaning is ok in English and Punjabi. Just the Shabad in Hindi also please 🙏

Great app. I’m an early adopter and have been using it for about 10 years now.
