Description

Overview

Learn a very straight forward approach as how to play over minor II V's. You will no longer have to fear a half diminished chord followed by an altered dominant! This app will give you the tools to play these types of chords so that you sound well beyond your current years of improvisational experience. Beginners and advanced players can benefit from focusing on specific keys and progressions for Jam-A-Long. Each Jam-A-Long allows the user to select any key to improvise in over an endless loop. Tempos are also adjustable.

The Minor II V is one of the more common, yet often ‘fluffed’ over, progressions found in the jazz repertoire. Our goal is to take the mystery out playing over these progressions. The Jam-A-Long includes focus on individual chords as well as in a progression. We have also defined the scale to chord relationships for each key and allow the user to listen to the isolated scale as well as hear it over the appropriate chord. We also offer a method to best practice these scales and progressions.

xsoundgardenx,
Very good
I love the way you can transition from theory, to practice and hear the chords and scales played on real instruments as examples while you learn.

A good addition to the App Store.

Excellent work dev, kudos to you!!
Bravo! Extremely well done! Thank you so very much for caring enough and taking the time to do this fine explanation. And thank you again for the great tools you've created in the jam along loops. Bravo!!

Iimprov app
Excellent clearly written explanation of this common progression in jazz, including notes to use when improvising over the progression, and it has a practice tool in all keys. As a beginner/intermediate student, this app is very helpful.

Really helpful
I play both trumpet and piano, and this app really helps to focus in on the minor II and V, just like it says it does. Very simple and straight forward. Good work!

Good tool to learn jazz detail
This is for just practicing minor 2-5 chord sequences. With that focus, I find it helps me keep working at this important jazz concept, rather than letting me escape to something new too quickly. As a piano player I would have liked the authors to add suggested left hand piano voicings. I would also like to see some example solo lines. But the app delivers what it says it does. I will look for more from this company.
