As ruler of an island kingdom, you build up grand citadels and storm into exciting battles with the armies of your fellow players.
In Ikariam you have command over experienced architects, soldiers and ingenious diplomats. Your new culture rises up between the glitteringly blue sea and the fine white sands of a small island. But to attain growth you will need a constant supply of resources and accommodation for your people. Mine your resources or defeat your fellow players on the battlefield for a chance of honour and a chance to get to their resources. On top of that, you can engage other cultures in trade agreements to secure your future. Lead your island kingdom to wealth, form alliances and go war against other players.

fix some bugs for the five star
i'm very happy about this app, because I don't like playing this on the browser on the ipad. the main bug is the drop down menu to switch cities, but here is a workaround for the meantime;
1 GO to island view
2 Switch cities using the menu at the bottom, which does work
3 When new island appears, double click on your city

I absolutely love this game. I've been playing since around the early days that the game was created. I've just now started getting back into it now that it's for iOS as well. I'm so happy to see this game and even though the iOS version can use some help, I think the pros far outweigh the cons.

My last review was less than stellar but with the 9.02 compatibility update and bug fixes, the app actually opens. Before it wouldn't open all the way. Thanks for fixing. Using safari to log in wasn't fun.

The concept is there, but definitely needs improving! It's VERY slow to switch between island to town.. Or to load messages, etc... Safari is still much faster!
The frequent crashes are equally annoying, as is having to use the new layout. I wish this had been done with the old style/mobile version..

Huge room for improvement!
I love this game.
But I think there is a huge improvement for this app, both iPad and iPhone versions, Game smoothness, at three different map levels for instance.
And iPhone world map layout is different from pad and web browser versions!
I hope to see a much better improved graphics/in the upcoming versions.

So very slow
While the concept of the game is great, the pace is super slow. The game also takes forever to load every time something new is tapped.
A lot of glitches.
Would rather play a game where there are multiple characters to control with different actions and challenges.

Ikariam app
Logged in and was working fine. When I get off iPad and try to come back later says my Internet connection isn't working but I'm able to surf the web and use the Internet fully in my browser. Greece is no way to get off the screen it's on either except to refresh and the same message shows up.

Good app as the first version but must be updated, its slow and contain bugs. So 5 stars so you could update as fast as possible. :))
