Andysix4ever,
App poorly made and doesn’t work
I just got an iLive speaker and when I downloaded this app on the phone I’m currently using with the Wi-Fi I’m also currently using, when I press search it just brings up this bright yellow message that says my Wi-Fi hasn’t been enabled. You can’t press anything else, nothing at all can be done, it just shows this message and that’s it. I don’t know what to do with it. Honestly there’s a reason this app has such low reviews and so little people have downloaded it. It isn’t user friendly, it isn’t well made (seems incredibly basic), and it is sadly essential to the devise which makes the other problems way worse.
JenZville,
Way better not perfect yet
So for the clock from my husband in Dec and it was garbage with iPhone 8 and 10, eventually we got to work by finding charging and using our old iPhone 6. Unfortunately power went out one day and lost all settings 🤦‍♀️, didn’t want to dig up old iPhone again so this wound up in donate bin. However, it was an $$$ clock so I thought I’d try one more time, now August and they seem to have worked out a lot of bugs. I like the audio quality better than the echo dot in my bedroom but it doesn’t recognize routines, if they added that I’d give it five stars now.
Tofuuurr,
Works and setup was easy
Not sure why people are having difficulties but I did not. Key point is to connect to a visible 2.4 ghz wireless to set it up, required for the model I have. Used my iPhone 6 with ease to set up, once I programmed the WiFi password into the speaker it connected directly to the WiFi.
I set the preset buttons using the app and now the speaker is totally independent of the app by using the presets to start playing my favorite content from TuneIn.
CJCNCLT,
Doesn’t work, making product useless
Like all the other reviews, the app doesn’t work. Bought an Alexa enabled alarm clock as a Xmas present and the app just says “Your device doesn’t enable Wi-Fi connection. Please enable Wi-Fi connection and try again”. There are no instructions on how to set the time on the clock and I’ve tried every combination of buttons and connecting my phone via USB and aux to try and get some use out of it but nothing. Now it’s a worthless piece of junk. Apple really should shut down companies that sell products that require an app to function yet clearly, based on all the recent reviews, doesn’t work AT ALL.
kirab28,
Can’t connect to WiFi
This app is horrible, and will not let me connect to WiFi through my iPhone, which seems to be everyone’s problem. But thanks to other reviews, I found the fix! Download the Loncon Player app, and click the ILive WiFi when it pops up, it will connect to it no problem! I will say that the audio quality of the ILive speaker is absolutely horrible, so even getting the connection, it’s still disappointing when you hardly get any sound in the first place! But at least I found the answer to connecting it!
once happy owner,
Worked great until yesterday 12/25
I’ve had my iLive for a year now and it worked perfectly until yesterday. It appears the app crashed from so many people using it and connecting their new gift. It says I need to enable my Wi-Fi which it’s already enabled. Everything works except for the I live app. The tower works well except for Wi-Fi mode. It won’t connect anymore. After trouble shooting it appears it’s a crash issue with the app. Updates are needed badly so everyone can use there gifts!
RealMikeBowers,
Does not work and No app support
iPhone 7Plus, iOS 12.2, ilive Wi-Fi control app downloaded from the Apple App Store. As soon as it opens, the only option is to hit "Search". I do so and it says "Your device doesn't enable Wi-Fi connection". However, in my iPhone settings, WiFi is enabled and showing the "iLive_ISWFV387_1AF8" network as an option. I click the “app support” under the review section for the app and of course it goes to the iLive site but the site says “Whoops, Our bad... the page you requested was not found”
App does not work and there is not any support for it
SunshinyGurl,
Very disappointed
I was reading through the reviews thinking, wow, I have this same exact problem. I cannot enter the app without the same text showing I am not connected to WiFi. I have an Alexa Concierge Platinum and I cant even get Bluetooth to work?!?! My iphone won’t pick it up. I can only use the aux which is utter crap because I didn’t spend all this money for a aux cord speaker. For those who did get Bluetooth to work, how did you do it? I’d be much happier if I AT LEAST got that. This needs to be fixed ASAP or else I’m getting my money back.
Not Happy in Texas,
Technical Issues
How can you have issues with the app in IOS at Christmas? How many people received items as gifts and couldn’t enjoy them. After multiple attempts at loading and deleting and reloading the app (as suggested on-line) on multiple devices I finally called customer service to be told this is a know issue and it’s been escalated but it’s going to take a couple days. A couple of days! How in this day and age does it take a couple of days for anything. If I could rate this as zero stars I would.
BenSpill91,
FINALLY, it works 👍🏻
After a few frustrating weeks of not being able to connect an iOS device the iLive app and its recent update finally work! My original rating was a well deserved one star but now that everything seems to be up and running I’ll switch it to 4/5. Thanks for finding a fix.
