------

RESIZING MODES

• Define the image width, height, or both
• Define the resolution in megapixels. E.g. make a 5-megapixel image.
• Limit the file size. E.g. make an image file at most 1 MB in size.

iSize lets you decide what to do if the image aspect ratio changes: crop as you like, deform, or add borders of any color. And if the image is too small for the required size: enlarge it, or add borders.

SIZE UNITS

Define the width and height in various units:
• Pixels
• Percent of the original
• Inches
• Centimeters
• Millimeters

To prepare images for printing, also define their print resolution in:
• Pixels per inch
• Pixels per cm

Define file size in:
• Megabyte (= 1000 Kilobyte)
• Mebibyte (= 1024 Kilobyte)
• Kilobyte (= 1000 Byte)
• Kibibyte (= 1024 Byte)
• Byte

IMAGE FORMATS

Save image in:
• JPEG
• HEIC (requires iPhone 7 or later)
• TIFF
• PNG
• GIF
• BMP

Configure the format specific settings: compression quality for JPEG and HEIC, lossless compression for TIFF. This is useful to control the file size.

2.0
2022-07-05
This major update introduces batch resizing. You can now resize many images to the same size, at once!

As always, flexible settings provide a full control on how to handle changing image aspect ratio, small original images, etc.
1.8.2
2022-06-13
The Print tool is improved to show a better preview of the "fit image on page" settings
1.8.1
2022-05-12
• It is now possible to change the image format when resizing to achieve the required file size. The image format makes a great contribution to the file size, thus it is convenient to control it there.
• When exporting an image in multiple sizes, and a pixel size is selected as the filename suffix, always add this suffix. However, don't add the first index suffix "@1x", only add it for "@2x" and greater.
• Multiple user interface improvements.
1.8
2022-04-19
This major update enables image export in multiple sizes. Makes it easy e.g. to prepare an image for multiple screen scales (@2x, @3x), or generate its small preview (thumbnail).

Define the number of sizes, and iSize automatically proposes scaled versions. You can rename size variations, if required. Edit the base filename and define the filename suffix style. Or rename and change any size variation manually.
1.7
2022-04-11
This major update brings a couple of new features and user interface improvements:

• Image printing. You now have control on whether the image is scaled to fit the page or printed at the exact size defined by the pixel size and the print resolution metadata. In addition, whether the image can be scaled up (with a possible image quality loss), or only down.
• Processed Photos Library images can now be saved not only as a new version, but also as a new image.
• User interface improvements to make the workflow more clear.
1.6
2022-04-05
This major update adds an image metadata viewer and editor. Tap the new "Edit Metadata" action and see:

• General image info.
• IPTC and GPS location info with a map.
• Camera and lens settings (EXIF, TIFF).
• Editable IPTC info describing the image and its creator.
• Editable keywords.

The editor provides quick commands to clear the desired metadata sections with a single tap.
1.5
2022-03-20
This major update brings a number of improvements to the Crop & Straighten tool:

• In addition to cropping with a defined aspect ratio, you can now crop to a defined pixel size. The cropped image part is resized to the required width and height. It is a shortcut to quickly crop and resize at once.
• The crop to size tool can use resize presets defining width and height in pixels.
• The crop tool now indicates transparent image areas with a chessboard background.
• Add an Info panel in the crop tool. It shows the image size and the cropped part size. When cropping to a pixel size, it also warns when the cropped part is too small and will be enlarged.

In addition, this update brings the following:
• Improved handling of the enlargement and aspect ratio change in the Resize module.
• When applying a preset defining a border color with transparency, iSize checks whether the current image format supports transparency. If not, offers to change the format.
• A number of minor user interface improvements.
1.4
2022-02-22
This major update brings custom resize presets. Create your own presets, apply them on any image, and save a lot of time when defining your configuration!
• All advanced settings, such as the aspect ratio adjustment and enlargement approaches, are a part of your presets.
• Presets are synchronized on all your devices connected to iCloud. Define on one, and use everywhere!

This update also improves the Crop & Straighten tool. Now you can define the straighten angle with a high precision, with a dedicated slider.

In addition, there are multiple minor user interface improvements.
1.3
2022-02-09
This major update makes it possible to import images from Files (in addition to Photos). Including connected cloud storage services such as iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and others. This significantly extends the ways iSize can fit in your workflow.

As the app has become mature, it now requires a purchase to export processed images without a promotional watermark. Offers both a yearly subscription and a one-time purchase.
1.2.1
2022-02-05
• It is now possible to import images with transparency from the Photos Library. Add e.g. HEIC or PNG images with transparency to Photos, import to iSize, and transparency is preserved.
- Note that the JPEG image format doesn't support transparency. Use e.g. HEIC or PNG if you need it.
- Note that transparent images edited in Photos loose their transparency. However, iSize can import the original image in this case.

• Now iSize warns you if you change the image format from something that supports transparency to something that doesn't. Thus, there is a risk of losing transparency (flattening the image).

• Indicate transparency in "Transform".

• Transparency is only shown in "Preview" and "Transform" when the current image format supports it.

• Minor user interface improvements.
1.2
2022-02-01

Now iSize lets you decide what to do with the image if its aspect ratio changes:
• crop, automatically or manually
• deform
• add borders, transparent or of any chosen color.

• add borders.

I’ve been using iOS and related apps for about ten years, and I learn something new every year. ISize by VeprIT works. I’m happy with it. It converts and resizes graphic files to other graphic formats and resolutions you select. You can convert about 5 files for free, then it asks you to either get a one year subscription or buy an unlimited, forever version for a fixed price, for about the cost of two one-year subscriptions. I bought the forever version. I suddenly had to convert a couple of dozen graphic files as I created them in another app, for use with a program that only accepted one format—jpg (jpeg). I can now adjust outgoing file size and resolution and convert files into numerous mainstream formats (nope, I don’t know how many). I just had to get these newly created files converted today, to meet a deadline. It works well. User interface is simple, but slightly clunky—practice with it, to get the full capability, but in 2-minutes, you will know enough to make simple conversions. Maybe 30-minutes or so will cover most possible uses. I think it is worth the money.
xdfkw123,
Literally Fixed Images in 3 Clicks!
Helped me
In a clutch. I couldn’t figure out how to work some other popular apps without watching a too long tutorial. This app is literal straight to the point! Converted crooked images to the size I needed FAST! A MUST HAVE FOR ANY STUDENT, parent helping their student, and professional!
Alywillow,
How do you upgrade the app?
I like the app, but I had to go back to the App Store to find the price. There I found two options, a yearly plan and a forever plan. I’d like the forever plan because this app is very quick in resizing photos, but I still can’t find any way to pay for this upgrade and I don’t want a watermark on my photos. So now, I can’t use the app at all.
надо исправлять!!!,
Plaer
Finally an app that can resize to the file size I want. In megabytes, not only pixels.
Kim2007-14,
Needs fixing aspect ratio
Really need an option to automate fixing the aspect ratio to fit within the size based on the width and height set by the user so it doesn’t crop nor deform the image. Otherwise this would be a super easy app to use.
old grey duck,
$5 for two photos
Must be inflation. Couple of years ago, there were sites online that would resize for nothing and didn’t want access to your data. $5 dollars for 2. I may be crazy but I’ll keep looking.
lynnshub,
1st try
Still trying this out. App is not saving to photos. Non intuitive and no instructions.
Jose or HoesB,
Quality app.
I reccomend.
