So... Obviously we made a mistake somewhere and let something go through the net ! The last update had corrupted data that messed up nearly everything and rendered the game very weird/unplayable. We did test everything at the time, with the exception of installing the new update over the last version, which was apparently what caused the issue. Good game, but some bad bugs
The game and its gameplay are solid, but there are some issues. First is a serious bug. Sometimes the jump button does not work on the first jump of a level. I reproduced clearly and the jump button will to work the second time you press it. For a game where timing is critical, this is very, very frustrating. Lastly, the menu UI could be greatly improved, there are lots of accidental taps getting detecting. Scrolling to a second page of levels has never been so hard. But these are all fixable! Thanks for a good game.

I want to love this, but...
This game is in the family with League of Evil and N+, both of which are stellar games with tight controls. IP comes close, but fails in the most critical category: controls. First of all, there should be button customizations available. The ability to move the buttons and change their size is key for a platformer on iOS, as the gamer's physical features vary. Next, responsiveness is a major issue, namely the jump doesn't always work. Furthermore, wall jumping is trash because it isn't instantaneous. You have to wait a whole second before you grip the wall so you can initiate a wall jump. In a game that demands speed and agility to achieve 3-star times, this was a terrible judgment call.
I want to love this game, but without the tight controls, it's just frustrating without the challenge. No point in getting frustrated for nothing. I've cleared perfectly all of the challenging platformers I've played. IP falls short, so it won't be shortlisted until it's updated and improved.

Minor controls issues aside, your reward is pure platforming hell.
First off, for something of this quality being free is something amazing. The only minor annoyances I have is there are no scaling or placement options for the on-screen buttons. The other being sometimes when you start a level, the jump button does not respond. BUT! You can test the jump button before you start the level & NOT get penalized by the time clock, perfect for you time-attack nazis.
Now with the pessimistic crap out of the way, onto the review of one of the greatest games I've ever played on ANY platform.
This game is hard. Like, police brutality hard. As of his writing, I've died 808 times, and I'm not even half-way through level 3. You must be VERY meticulous with your timing in order to navigate the various pitfalls, spikes, buzzsaws & other traps you encounter along the way.
Highly recommended for the hardest of hardcore gamers. Hats off to 99UP Games for crafting the stuff of legends...

I love your game, first of all. It is very reminiscent of the N game, and I have always loved that style of game. However, two things harm the experience greatly:
1. There is a bug which causes the jump button to fail to jump when used under one condition: if the player was still holding down the jump button when they died. If that happens, the first jump will fail in the next level. This is a nuisance, and I have died over 200 times to it.
2. The lag, which leads into a crash due to a memory leak (I assume), makes some levels impossible to play due to the hindrance to accurate movement.
I love the game, and when one of these is fixed, I will go to four stars. When they are both fixed, I will give this app 5 stars; it will be the first app I have rated and given 5 stars in over a year. The app is that good. Please, fix these two problems to preserve the gameplay experience you have thus provided; I'm sure most of the other reviewers agree with me.

Controls
The controls need work. First, the pause button needs to be moved to somewhere on the top. The directional buttons need to be moved left and down, and the jump button needs to be moved right and down. It isn't comfortable for long term playing as it currently is. Look at the controls for the first random heroes, or consider allowing people to customize it somehow.

The only issue I have is that due to the thickness of the iPads border (part around the screen) it's hard for my thumb to reach the 'right arrow' button. I suggest making the controls adjustable so you can move the buttons around for your comfort. This issue doesn't bug me on iPod or iPhone due to the smaller size, but playing on iPad is fun lol so I really hope you'll fix this in an update. :)

Hard but Great
UPDATE- I reviewed the initial release and rated it poorly for the problematic controls. Well, the developer was listening and the update solves all my issues with the game.
This game is great. The art is amazing, the levels are nice, and I even like the soundtrack. Some of the levels are brutally difficult, but if you're looking for a challenging platformer with an amazing art style, look no further.

Hello I'm here to do a review once again. Well I was looking up games that were indie and stud like that. I saw this and it looked like N+ platformer or league of evil or super meat boy some thing like that.i look up playthrough on it it's awesome but when I start a level... I FREAKIN PLAY IT! It crashes when I start it up so hopefully you can fix that in an update please it looks really fun~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~.

Every once in a while you find a gem in a heap of rocks!
Simple concept, hard to master and loads of fun! I don't really know how you can described this in any other way. The physics of this game are fantastic! The perfect jump is all about the timing and this games nails this concept perfectly! Nicely done!
