tiger girl1950,
BEST APP EVER
This all is literally everything to me and it makes me fall asleep in literally less than five minutes it’s so effective and it’s free! It’s such a good choice when looking for rain apps and I HIGHLY recommend! 💗
Jeff Pham,
The updated version is worse
I updated the app to the latest version and it is worse than the old version. The old version allows you to download 4 free extra sounds as a free user which you could delete a sound to download another. But the new version doesn't let you download any sounds or delete existing sounds. Also, the UI is more complicated and it has unnecessary animations which drains the battery and there's no way to disable it. If I can't use the app as a free user then I guess I may have to delete it and use a different one.
aemckean,
Perfect.
First, to anyone complaining about what you can’t do in the free version: C’mon. It’s $3.49 per YEAR to remove this lone developer’s paywall, and then you can do all of the things you’re whining about no longer being able to do in the updated free version. We all need to pull some sort of income in order to survive in this world. A developer is essentially an artist and a small business. It’s a maximum of $6 to support this artist’s small business.

You know, it’s interesting. The people who complain the loudest about not wanting to help those struggling in fringes are the very same people who somehow believe that they, themselves, should get everything for free.

There’s an app in the store that offers much, much less in their free* version, and their annual price is $249. The missing decimal point isn’t a typo. That’s two hundred forty nine dollars, annually. So more than once. For an app. An app that, in spite of its super high-tech, uber-complicated/impressively-impressive description, isn’t capable of anything more than playing sounds out of the single speaker located on the bottom of our phones. An app cannot magically✨ perform tasks requiring anything beyond the capabilities of the device that houses it.

Anyhow, all-of-the-above certainly does put this developer’s request for either $3.49 per year, or a one-time payment of $5.99 into a pretty reasonable perspective, no? Embarrassed yet? 😳

I did the free trial to access the whole thing, and see if I like it enough to keep it. I’m loving it. A person could get lost in here for a good hour or more just layering and saving sounds. This app has all someone looking for sounds, soothing or otherwise, could ever need. The sounds are high-quality, and there are a ton of them.

I’ll say without hesitation that this app, with its humble price, is probably the best sound app I’ve ever used. It’s a beautiful, thoughtful app that someone clearly put their heart into creating. It’s something to be proud of. Anyone who really does feel that they need more than this has to offer them, might need to consider that they are most likely just impossible to please.

Tranquility at its finest
The192Os,
Fantastic
I absolutely love this app. I use it every night to fall asleep. The aesthetics are pleasing (there are no ads flashing everywhere, the background is quite pretty to look at, and it's easy to maneuver to change the settings). It's flexible so you can change the type of sound you want (heavy rainstorm, tin roof rain, light rain, rainforest storm, even airplane and moving fan sounds). You can also change how loud it is, whether you want thunder, birds, traffic noises, wind, etc and how loud you want each additional sound to be. My favorite part is that you can change how long the sounds are going for whether it's 5 minutes, 17 minutes, an hour, or never ending!! It's made to fit anyone's needs. I highly recommend this app for anyone that needs some background noise for sleeping, studying, reading, or whatever other reason. Totes get it.
FlameShaow,
Excellent app. Some suggestions
This app is very good and I enjoy the wide range of sounds and am pleased that they continue to add more. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an ambient sound app; I have premium and it is definitely worth it.

For the developers, there are a few improvements that could be made. Some of the backgrounds are glitchy when the screen is rotated or otherwise interacted with, which needs fixing. It would also be helpful if, like in the section to download new presets, there was a list of all presets that could be sorted by type. Sometimes I have trouble finding the ones I want. Additionally, a way to edit existing custom presets would be immensely helpful. Thanks for this excellent app and your work on consistently improving it.
Somekidfromaplace,
Yo, thanks for the app, Adam (assuming that's your name based on the developer title)
This app works wonderfully. It has a myriad of different rain sounds (heavy, light, on sheet metal, etc.) and does a great job at helping me sleep. Furthermore, you can play the rain sounds while listening to your own music. I'm stoked I found this app. Oh, final note: the app design is intuitive and actually quite pretty.

Only improvement: please bring back the individual adjustments for master volume versus rain volume (so I can control how loud the rain is relative to the sleep music I'm playing).

Thank you again!
FireFlurries,
Please read?!
With the new update, the “premium” soundtracks that I bought YEARS AGO now have a voice loop over them and the only way to get rid of it was to buy the packs /again/?! This is the third time this has happened, your dev team needs a way to keep track of who has already bought what because despite getting a popup saying my account was upgraded, I had to spend more money on something I already owned. Please refund me and fix this bug!!!
The Sound of the month is great, just wish I could toggle settings or listen to past SOMs.
Also wish the app remembered settings on sounds listened to daily like it used to.
Otherwise, fantastic app. Can’t sleep without heavy rain
Kerstansplace,
Great app!!
This is a great app!! I don't know if I'm setting the time right or not, I see it has 5 hours on it but if I take it all the way back it has inf, so I'm thinking that it will continue till I turn it off. If not please add the time setting to 24 hours that away it won't cut off and I wake up, please. I love the backgrounds and the sounds they are so real, I have PTSD and I don't sleep much but I can fall asleep after a while listening to storms, rain and ocean sounds but if it stops I wake up and can't fall back asleep. Thank you for making a great app.
Dalamar the Dark,
5 stars with only two minor problems
This app is absolutely perfect. My only complaint is that the timer doesn't always work, and there is no separate volume for the storm to increase its volume to be heard over music. The lack of a functioning timer does get a bit annoying when you finally fall asleep only to be woken up a few hours later by the storm still going and having to manually turn it off.
The first is an annoyance, while the second is so insignificant that it only gets a passing reference
