Let's begin that the developer is extremely honest in his claims! The iPhone camera does not have any capacity to enhance/amplify light---at any spectrum, or as a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation IR scope. The developer explicitly stated that it's the algorithm that collates whatever light pixels the iPhone lens managed to capture and dumps them in a B&W image. If NO light is captured ditto for the algorithm... Tried it in the bathroom, with hallway light on and took about six shots, with the door at various stages (from almost closed, to wide open). Well the developer is thruthful! The regular image is almost black, while the B&W grainy image shows you what's there! (the resolution between a 1st Gen. Starlight scope (minus the green)
USES? Ummm, don't know, other than taking a pic of the license plate of a suspect's car at night without being seen by the flash!
CAUTION: For ALL of you 007 wannabes! The applet defaults in flash, so remember to turn it off or else... Bang! You are dead!
CONCLUSION: I'll keep it; it might come up handy one day (umm... night). Com'on! It's free, so Thanks developer!
