If you have received access to an “Understanding” web app from your health educator, this handy Quick Launcher allows you to open it right from your device’s screen. If your health educator has provided you with more than one “Understanding” web app, they can all be opened with this Quick Launcher. (Requires inputting a redemption code upon first use of each web app.)

App Does Not Work
Similar to other reviews I read after using the app, the navigation freezes and you have to go back to the home screen and start over. After a few times I was able to navigate but some lessons I was unable to finish.
My biggest pet peeve is that there are several useful checklists (birthing plan, labor bag checklist) and trackers (contraction tracker, feeding tracker), but the information doesn’t save so all information entered disappears. Seems to defeat the purpose of the “tools” section of the app. If this stored data the app would be a great tool for all mother up to and after delivery.

Formatting errors on iPhone X
Not formatting properly on newest iPhone in some content. It only displays half the screen once you start a course. Buttons do not respond and must be killed.

Was excited to use
Due in few days and wanted to refresh on what to except. But there are a lot of design and functionality issues that just don't work. The navigation buttons don't respond beyond the main screen so I can not access most of the content or go back to the main screen. The text does not expand to the entire window which makes everything hard to read. And who has the time to log in every time you leave the app. Please remember my login for a while longer like all the other apps on the planet. Im sure the info inside is great, we just need the opportunity to reach it.

Literally just launches a website and not even the one in the screenshot. None of the features depicted exist.

Does not function
The content in this app, such as the information about pregnancy, labor, and birth, is very good. However the app appears to be a poorly constructed mobile browser that leads to a mobile site which does not function on the poorly constructed browser. For example, you can click “view the pdf worksheets” and the app will open the pdf worksheets with in the app. You cannot export them, nor can you scroll to the second page even. So, you can’t even screen shot them. Then there are other options like “start session.” If you click on that, nothing happens. Immediately below that is “report a problem.” If you click on that, nothing happens.
Consequently, the app is completely useless. It was designed to let you access mobile content, but it does not function to access that content, making the entire program useless.

Terrible
We were told to use this app to watch videos for a childbirth & newborn care class. The GUI is terrible (who built this??) and the functionality is worse. After clicking Play on videos 20-30 times with nothing happening, we found that if you expand the video to full screen it actually loads. Yep first time it loaded, it played without sound, so we had to start over. The second time it loaded, it caused the app to overload and close. The third time, we were able to watch about 12 seconds before it shut down the whole app again. Such a waste of time.

Has worked flawlessly!
I am so confused by all of the negative reviews! Unless there was a recent major update to the app, the videos have all played with no issues whatsoever (with sound). I haven’t run into any streaming issues, freezing, etc as others suggest. There is a lot of great reading material in the app aside from the videos, which has also been helpful. I feel a lot more prepped for the logistics of birth after using the app and am glad my hospital uses this for their online course.

Horrible app
I can not believe this app was actually approved by Apple. As part of the discharge process for the birth of our child, my wife and I were required to watch a series of videos on this app, via a hospital-provided iPad. This app was atrocious - hitting “play” on the video generally did absolutely nothing, sometimes requiring us to tap 20+ times before it actually would play. Half the time, once we successfully triggered it to play the video would then load/buffer forever. This was a nightmare for sleep deprived new parents.

Doesn’t work at all
We’ve watched the videos and done the class online through a web browser on a computer but this app does not work at all on a phone. I would like to access some of the items that are supposedly available on the mobile app such as the contraction timer but this app simply doesn’t function — cannot get beyond the sign in screen.

App crashes every time I play a video
This app goes hand in hand with a $65 birthing class we paid for and it has been the biggest waste of $ so far in pregnancy... the app crashes every time I press play for a video so I’m not able to view anything or learn anything that I’m supposed to. It’s very user unfriendly and confusing to boot. Makers of this app should be embarrassed at how sloppy their development was...
