THE IRIG BLUEBOARD APP FOR IPHONE, IPAD, AND IPOD TOUCH, WORKS IN TANDEM WITH IK’S NEW IRIG BLUEBOARD, THE FIRST WIRELESS MIDI PEDALBOARD FOR IOS AND MAC, CONTROLLING THE SETUP AND CONFIGURATION OF THE HARDWARE UNIT.
The iRig BlueBoard pedalboard features 4 backlit footswitches that let you change banks and presets, and control parameters in any Core MIDI-compatible app (like AmpliTube or SampleTank) from up to 10 meters away. It’s also equipped with 2 expression pedal inputs that let you connect pedals (not included) and control continuously variable parameters like wah and volume.
This app allows the communication between the iRig BlueBoard controller and any Core MIDI apps running on your iOS device. Also, iRig BlueBoard app lets you setup the hardware unit, and configure its 32 banks of settings for iRig BlueBoard’s 4 footswitches. Setup the MIDI parameters you want to control, switch between the PROGRAM CHANGE and CONTROL CHANGE operating modes, set the MIDI channel iRig BlueBoard will transmit on, browse and rename banks, browse patches in Core MIDI apps, and much more.

Stop prompting me to buy your other apps!
The functionality of this app is as expected, but every single time I launch the app to connect my BlueBoard, it prompts me twice to buy their other apps. So annoying! I know you’re trying to convert people to your paid apps, but please respect that we’ve already purchased one of your products and just add a button to the menu or give us an option to disable those prompts. They REALLY get in the way of being able to use the app and the device.

Complicated and inconsistent
I was excited to use this to record and play loops from loopy - it is really difficult to program, it doesn't work for Garageband like they claim it does. I wasted money on the stomp box and more on amplitude and all that crap. Ik multimedia basically baits and switches you into products that don't live up to their promises. And they nickel and dime you for every tiny piece of software they can. It pisses me off everytime I dust this junk off and kid myself into thinking me and my son can have some simple backing tracks that we can toggle through. Disappoints EVERY time. Don't waste your time and money like I have.

Terrible company and terrible products
I will never buy another product (software or hardware) from this company. They have zero support for this product but they continue to sell it. I very, very rarely write bad reviews because I know how detrimental it can be to a business but these guys obviously don’t care about their users. This app crashes every time I open it. I only opened it because they don’t have a Mac app which they claim they do. So basically this controller is useless to me. I’m seriously incredibly irritated by the disregard for their users.

Total Ripoff
I can't believe this company. This is the second product that I purchase, and it doesn't work. I've been using all kinds of musical and computer equipment for almost 20 years. This is garbage. It never connects. This device made for the iPad and iPhone and iMac NEEDS WINDOWS to update the driver, because clowns run this company. Now I have to deal with the second product I have to return from this godforsaken, gremlin-owned craptastic company. May they sink into the depths of hell.

Once the firmware is updated the board can be used without the app. The app is necessary sometimes and works as advertised and expected. Very nice actually

After seemingly endless repeating product registration hamster wheel, finally got into the Blueboard. I followed the instructions to download the hardware manual, but it only works online, and intermittently at that. “403 Forbidden” is the frequent result.
Then I download the app and have to go through registration hamster wheel AGAIN.
Then I go to the menu for the software MANUAL and get “manual not found”
Jeez.
I think this company is primary income stream is in selling user data. It certainly isn’t in producing a good customer experience.

No longer works with Music Stand App
I bought the iRig BlueBoard specifically to use with the Music Stand App...it worked perfectly for a few months...now it doesn’t, at all. No problems accessing my iPad or the BlueBoard app...just won’t work with Music Stand...very disappointing!

Firmware update for modes
Modes can connect Blueboard to iOS and OS X without this app once the firmware is updated.

Always slow to update
Why is IK Multimedia apps always the last develop compatibility with new iOS updates? Maybe because there's too many versions of the same app? Make your apps universal across devices and stop charging for each version. Take ads out of paid for apps or make them unobtrusive. As a developer you should have had the tools to have your apps compatible by now. This is why I stopped supporting your company a while back, after purchasing almost every software and hardware product made by IK multimedia.

Audiobus support
I've had constant disconnection issues between the bluboard and my iphone 6+ when using the blueboard app and audiobus. I've contacted ik multimedia support and never got anywhere. I even bought a more updated version of the blueboard thinking it would fix the issue and it still disconnects. I love this device. I'm not going to give it a poor rating just please update the app so I can use it!
