Nice on iPad
Very decent sim. Good graphics. Has a bit of a learning curve to understand controls which are smooth but sluggish. Icons are a bit cryptic . “Lite” version is free and I couldn’t find a better value even with its limitations. Unfortunately, like real model layouts, this gets boring with time. Nothing to do but roll down the track and avoid collisions. Would be better with some “objectives”. That being said, it’s still a very fun app and a good way to spend time without enduring stress of smashing, shooting, destroying and otherwise being killed.

Good for main lines, wish it had yard spotting
This is a fun app to run trains, learn about switch control, etc. I see each update adds more, much of what the users are asking for. There are two app features I would be willing to pay for:
1) Lay your own track, or import a track into the app' and
2) ability to drop off and pick up rolling stock. I realize there is a max consist size, but it would be nice to be able to drop off the loads at various industries or yards, then pick then up later.

Great, but have some requests...
This is a terrific app and should be lots of fun for RR'ers. The developers did a really good job.
I would give it 5 stars if :
-- You made all the layouts *brighter* ! They are far too dark and gloomy, and sometimes even hard to see.
-- Mark the trains somehow, so you could know which is which. (Right now, you can tell only by changing the speed or by squinting at the locomotive type, either of which is hard to see.)

Looks Cool but navigation around the layout? UGH
I think this game looks cool but the control to move the camera around to view the layout... I couldn't wrap my head around it... Unfortunately .. That's why I'm deleting it.. Hard to try it when just looking where I want is difficult.. But the game does look neat so far, and the model railroad control panel I think is posh 👍

This is my very first review! That’s how exciting this game is. But may I ask that you please add weather? Or maybe day/night toggle? That would be great. Otherwise, I think this game is awesome!

Great Fun!
If you are a model railroader, this is a must have app! And it's a great way to pass the time for anyone who likes trains. The 3D effect is well done, and the layouts aren't bad at all. It has a lot of the same fun of operating a real model railroad, with operating 3 trains at once, adjustable speeds, lots of switches to throw, working horns and whistles and bells, and the many different viewing angles makes it very interesting to operate. A lot more layouts to choose from in the paid version, but the two in the free version aren't bad at all, and will suit me for a while before I upgrade.

Excellent game
I first ran across an earlier edition to his game about 8 months ago. I am glad to see it on the App Store. This is a perfect game for the folks that always wanted to have their own model train set at home, but live in a small place. It is also a lot less expensive.
I like the way a train collision is handled. However I would also like to see options for a "life like" train collision, and an "Adams Family" train collision.
Finally, the ability to change engine/car/caboose types would be nice.

Room for improvement
It's an OK app if you don't have the time or space to build a real model, but gets boring after a while. As a model train fan I would buy the full version, and even pay more for it if:
- there is an option to build your own layout (nothing creative or challenging in this app)
- there is a selection of trains and wagons
- graphics are improved
Until then, the free version is fine, the full version has more layouts and options to change color and texture of the landscape, but nothing else. BTW, the trains should be marked somehow, which train is red, green or black? You can only identify the trains by changing their speed.

Great!
My 2 1/2 year old just sits and watches...I didn't expect that. I have fun just playing , switching views, tracks, and trains! Good job--- hope to see updates for new ideas one day.
